“Initial investigations showed HK$122,000 in jewellery and HK$4,000 were stolen from the flat,” the force said.
Detectives from the Sham Shui Po criminal investigation unit are following up on the case.

Separately, police were called to a money exchange store on Des Voeux Road West in the Western district of Hong Kong Island at 9.45am on Monday when its employee arrived for work and found the front door had been forced open.
A police spokesman said HK$1,800 was stolen from the shop.
No arrests have been made.
Last Wednesday, several handbags were stolen from the Guildford Road home of a multinational company director in the upscale residential area of The Peak. Police said the break-in was discovered by a domestic helper, whose employer was out of town.
The force handled 684 burglary reports across the city between January and June, a 19.6 per cent increase from 572 cases logged in the same period last year.
The city also recorded 5,156 violent crime cases in the first half of the year, an 8.3 per cent year-on-year rise compared with 4,759 reports in 2023.
Authorities installed 15 sets of surveillance cameras in Mong Kok in March as part of a plan to have 2,000 set up by the end of this year, with a focus on densely populated zones and high-crime areas.
