We bought a £95K bungalow, gutted it and made our dream home in just 5 months – we also made a whopping £65K profit too
A WOMAN has revealed that she and her partner bought a cheap bungalow and gave it a mega makeover.
Sophie King and her partner Lewis Berryman totally gutted the property, which they bought for £95,000.
The couple, who now live in Middlesbrough, spent £35,000 on the bungalow’s renovation, but have since made a hefty profit of £65,000.
Sophie, a mum-of-one, took to social media to show off the before, during and after of the bungalow’s impressive overhaul - leaving many totally stunned.
She wrote: “We bought a cheap bungalow and did a renovation on it!”
At the start of the clip, Sophie gave her followers a look at the inside of the dated bungalow.

She then confirmed: “We ripped everything out. We added an extension.
It took us five months from start to finish.”
Sophie also added: “It might be fine to some, [but] we wanted to do work on it to make it how we wanted it.”
The once dated bungalow, with green tiles in the bathroom and floral wallpaper and brown carpets in the living room, was given a mega new makeover.
Not only is the home now beautiful and extremely modern, but it is something you’d expect to see in an interiors magazine.
The once beige kitchen was nowhere to be seen, and instead had been replaced with a gorgeous navy kitchen, with an island and herringbone floor.
The lounge area had been given a glow up too - the floral wallpaper had been removed and replaced with a trendy, panelled look.
The brown carpet was also ripped out and instead replaced with a ‘cosy’ grey carpet.
The content creator later shared a breakdown of the costs of the bungalow’s renovation.
She explained: “We bought it for £95k and spent £35k. It’s now worth £170k.
“Our kitchen cost £8,000, our extension approximately cost £5,000, bifold doors were £1,000 and windows for the whole house including bifolds were £3,000.
“Our extension was cheaper as my dad has his own building company so we had a lot of it done a lot cheaper than expected.
“The kitchen price wasn’t included with the work tops; they were an extra £1,000, so £9,000 for the kitchen in total, which was with appliances.
“Everything was done professionally; it's all been signed off by building regulations.
“We are in Middlesbrough!! We sold this this year for £195,000! So we made £65k profit! We are currently doing another renovation now.”
The TikTok clip, which was posted under the username @sophieking__, has clearly left many open-mouthed, as it has amassed 52,500 views.
Social media users were impressed with the stunning home and many took to the comments to express this.
One person said: “Beautiful home!”
Another added: “Looks gorgeous.”
A third commented: “This is elegant and beautifully done! What a talent for interior design!”
