Inside Kate Middleton’s recovery after update – including the VIP she ‘speaks to daily’ & her ‘most important’ activity
THE PRINCESS of Wales is “doing well” following her surgery, according to a palace update this week after Prince William pulled out from a thanksgiving service.
The Prince of Wales had been due at St George's Chapel on Tuesday but didn’t attend due to a “personal matter” - with the palace claiming they would not comment further on William's reasoning.
This follows Prince William holding the fort at the recent BAFTA Awards, where he gave more insight into his wife’s recovery, admitting they haven’t been able to watch many movies.
He revealed of the nominated films: “I’ve done the fewest I’ve ever done before, with my wife, it’s been a bit…hopefully we’ll catch up.”
Kate "is making good progress" after leaving hospital following abdominal surgery but plans to be away from duties until Easter.
According to royal expert Angela Levin, although she is away from the public eye, there is one person who she is likely to be speaking to daily.
More on Kate Middleton
She told Fabulous: “I imagine Catherine will want to talk to her sister Pippa every day and hear about how each of their family is getting on.
“Catherine trusts her totally so she can talk freely about her concerns.
“As she can with her mother, Carole Middleton.”
Meanwhile, doting husband Prince William will be a great support system with the royal expert added: “He’s made it clear he wants to be with her as much as she needs.
“Knowing he is there for her and having time to talk together will be great encouragement for her.”
Kate, 42, underwent the planned operation on January 16 and stayed in the private London Clinic, but is now recuperating at their Adelaide Cottage home.
Prince William and Kate uprooted Prince George, 10, Princess Charlotte, eight, and Prince Louis, five, during the summer of 2022 for a more rural life in the Windsor pad.
Angela added that Kate is likely to have created a “routine” during her downtime, but it’ll be centred around the kids.
She claimed: “Because she is very organised I imagine her days are carefully divided.
Timeline of Royal health woes
HERE is a date-by-date rundown of the health worries to have struck the royals this year.

JAN 19: The King flies back from Scotland with the Queen.

JAN 31: Queen Camilla announces that the King is “getting on, doing his best”.
FEBRUARY 5: Buckingham Palace announces the King has cancer, but not of the prostate, and will not carry out public-facing duties.
“This could include a good rest in the early afternoon so she would be as lively as possible when the children come home from school.
“It’s probably her most important time of the day.
“The older two children George and Charlotte will be aware she is unwell and will be particularly loving.
“I expect she will read to Louis who might need a lot more cuddling.”
With its candyfloss pink exterior and rolling grounds, Adelaide Cottage looks straight from a fairytale.
It’s also perfect for William to do the school run, as it’s a nine-mile drive to Ascot where the kids attend the £7,000-a-term Lambrook School.
William and Kate’s charming Adelaide Cottage couldn't be further from their 20-room, four-storey apartment in Kensington, which they still use when they need to be in London.
It has just four bedrooms - one bedroom for each of the children and the royal couple.
The property was renovated eight years ago, but there are still nods back to the 19th Century inside.
Angela said that Kate and William’s bedroom even has “golden dolphins” and 19th-century “nautical motifs” on the ceiling, which could have a “calming” effect.
The Sun exclusively revealed earlier this month that Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis celebrated their half term holidays away from school with their mum.
