Cooking with Lynja chef dead aged 67: TikTok star Lynn Yamada Davis with 17million followers dies after cancer battle
INTERNET sensation "Cooking with Lynja" chef Lynn Yamada Davis has died at the age of 67 following a battle with cancer.
The TikToker had accumulated over 17 million followers on her cooking page.
Davis was famous for her wholesome videos where she delighted viewers with her recipes and dancing.
The internet star died on January 1 at the Riverview Medical Center in Red Bank, New Jersey, according to her daughter Hannah Mariko Shofet.
Her daughter also confirmed that Davis had battled esophageal cancer before she passed away.
Davis' account had been kept active after her death as some videos were posted after January 1.
Her family revealed that Davis had asked for videos that had been filmed and edited before her death to go up.
The TikToker's youngest son, Tim Davis, started the channel with his mother during the pandemic.
He shared that the inspiration for the account and videos had come from his mother who had asked him to upload the clips around 10 years ago.
"My mom was like my partner in crime," Tim said to The New York Times.
Tim also shared that the popular TikTok account will become inactive after the last video with her mother is uploaded.
