‘Better than Yankees’ shoppers say about Asda candle that lasts for two months and is ‘an absolute bargain’
SHOPPERS are raving about a “divine” candle from Asda that rivals the quality and longevity of Yankee Candles.
One woman claims she has burnt it every night for over two months before it ran out.
The Grey Spa Retreat Extra Large Candle from Asda costs £15 and has a 60 hour burn time.
So if you burnt it every night for 60 days, it would work out at 25p an hour to burn.
Shoppers have said it's an “absolute bargain” as the notes of amber, jasmine tuberose and white flowers can fill your room in minutes.
The candle is part of a wider Ylang-Ylang & Cedarwood Home Fragrance Collection by Asda.
Jodi Hanks took to Facebook to rave about it and compare it to cult-loved Yankee Candles.
“I’ve had this candle since the beginning of November and been burning it every evening… and it’s still going strong!” she beamed.
“It’s £15, which when you compare to a large Yankee Candle which can be £15 to £20, this is an absolute bargain.
“I just bought a second one from Asda.”
Jodi took her review one step further by showing how big the candle is compared to a can of coke.
She added that the scent is “divine” and was even able to penetrate the atmosphere in her home when it was busy on Christmas Day.
The Ylang-Ylang & Cedarwood Home Fragrance Collection by the Asda also includes diffusers, room sprays and smaller candles.
A miniature set of two candles will set you back £6, while the X Large wide-base candle costs £7.
Supermarket bosses described the scent as a “thriving garden filled with white flowers in bloom”.
“Its notes of bold jasmine and tuberose rest on a base of golden amber, with hints of watery and powdery accord,” they added.
Other shoppers took to the comments of Jodi’s post to affirm her praise of the candle.
“I’ve had this one too,” Emily Goodwin penned. “I had it from July and it’s just finished.”
