My hot boyfriend is 23 years older and often mistaken for my dad – people can be so nasty but I’ve never been happier
MEETING your partner at work is nothing new, but despite their typical meet-cute this couple still have a pretty unconventional relationship.
Rather than an age gap of a few years or months, Harriet and her partner are 23 years apart and have had to defend their love with trolls call it ‘uncomfortable’.
Their love story began last year, when 25-year-old Harriet Cazaly was asked to sell a gorgeous home in the countryside for a handsome client.
Having just been promoted, the estate agent leapt at the chance but little did she know what was waiting for her around the corner.
Once the sale was completed, her former client offered to take her out to dinner and drinks as thank-you for all her help with the property.
Though she was nervous about going out with the 48-year-old, Harriet eventually accepted not knowing that her life would change forever.

In a sweet Tiktok video, she recalled how their relationship began and wrote in the caption: “[I] had no expectations. Little me had no idea this day would completely change my year.”
Rather ironically, she nearly didn’t accept and revealed that she’d previously had some ‘awful experiences’, but her best friend convinced her to go.
It turns out that her bestie’s ‘gut feeling’ was right, as the pair quickly fell for each other despite the young woman not ‘looking for anything nor expecting anything’.
After a romantic short break in Cornwall, Harriet knew that she wanted to continue things and her relationship became official in June.
Since then, they’ve spent the majority of their time together and even squeezed in extra breaks to London, Rhodes and Scotland for cosy first Christmas together.
Whilst their relationship might look picture perfect from the outside, their age gap has complicated their love life.
After sharing their relationship online, the pair came under fire for their 23-year age gap.
With much of her Tiktok page devoted to her boyfriend, the estate agent has received some cruel comments about her and her other half.
"I’ve had some awful comments but I just delete, people can be so nasty."
On another video, someone wrote: “I am 1977 & my girl is 1998 so I find it uncomfortable a man late 40's is interested in you….”
Hitting back at the naysayers, Harriet later uploads a Tiktok about her new relation and cheekily captioned it ‘he’s not my dad’ – referring the mistake that is often made.
In the now-viral video, she even makes light of the sometimes less-than-romantic side of age-gap relationships.
This includes her partner regularly losing his reading glasses, not knowing how to take the perfect selfie and struggling to write speedy texts.
Though their love might be unconventional, Harriet has revealed on the app how their relationship is a success: “I’m the happiest I’ve ever been!
"I was so hesitant at first but best thing I ever did.
"I love being with an older guy, makes me feel safe.
"After feeling unworthy for so long I never imagined I would find someone as thoughtful and as kind as him.
She has also revealed how "older guys are just so respectful" noting how she "still gets the car door opened for her" and her partner "fills up her car with fuel".
Her partner has gained a lot of attention for his good looks, which Harriet replied: "He is certainly a handsome man, not bad for his age!"
Sharing more insights into her relationship in the comments section, the estate agent revealed: "When we went on our first date I thought he was late 30’s, he’s aged well."
