My quick and easy washing machine cleaning trick eliminates odors and keeps the inside sparkling – it’s super cheap too
A CLEANING expert has revealed her hack to keep her laundry machines smelling fresh.
Best of all, it only required two simple ingredients that most people had in their homes.
She (@renovation_44) shared the cleaning hack in a TikTok video.
"Does your washing machine smell?" she asked.
"Hear me out, for a quick and easy washing machine clean, just cut a lemon in half, add toothpaste, and throw it in your washing machine."
Taking two halved lemons, she added globs of toothpaste and simply tossed them in for a full cycle.
For a proper clean, she made sure to put the washer on speed wash with very hot water.
She explained that the technique "rid of odors and leaves your washing machine absolutely sparkling".
"After the cycle is finished, you have a fresh-smelling washer and for very little cost," she added.
