McDonald’s to launch rare US favourite item in DAYS and fans can’t wait
MCDONALD'S is launching a rare US fan favourite item in the UK in days.
The fast food chain is launching the Shamrock Shake in restaurants for the first time from this month.
However, foodies will only be able to pick up the Irish-themed drink between March 12 and March 25.
McDonald's said it will donate 20p from each sale of the drink at selected restaurants to the Ronald McDonald House Charity.
The mint-flavoured milkshake is traditionally released in the lead-up to St. Patrick's Day in the US.
Known for its vibrant green colour, the shake is made with McDonald's signature vanilla soft-serve, blended with a minty syrup and topped with whipped cream.

First introduced in the United States in 1970, the Shamrock Shake has become a seasonal favourite, celebrated for its refreshing taste and festive appearance.
This follows months of speculation online that the iconic shake was finally making its debut on UK shores.
Hundreds of Maccie's customers have been commenting on Facebook in recent days asking if the green peppermint-flavoured drink is landing on menus.
Opinions on the drink are mixed though, with some buzzing but others not so keen on the concept.
One said "I'm feeling this" while another added "my dream haha".
Another said: "I had it when I went to New York. It's really nice."
A third said: "I've wanted to try this for so long!"
However, one said it "looks too watery to be a shake" while a second added "if you are stupid enough to drink that then go ahead".
Meanwhile another customer who has already tried it commented: "Tastes like toothpaste, it's pretty sh**e."
What's on the menu now?
McDonald’s gave its main menu a shake-up in February, sparking excitement and chatter among its loyal customer base.
Maccies brought back the beloved Raspberry and White Chocolate pie on February 12.
The tasty Valentine's themed snack, which originally debuted in February 2024, costs just £1.99.
It comes with a fluffy pink pastry and is filled to the brim with raspberry compote and white chocolate ganache.
The Philly Cheese stack has also returned, after being previously axed in September 2024.
It includes two huge beef patties slathered with cheese sauce, as well as cheese slices and crispy onions.
The burger costs £5.29 by itself, but Maccies fans can upgrade to a medium sized meal deal for just £6.99.
Fans went wild for the Philly Cheese Stack when it first landed, with some describing it as the "best they’ve ever had".
McDonald's has also released two incredible new cold drinks.
The first is the Tropicana apple juice, which has never been sold in the UK stores.
The second is the Mars McFlurry, which consists of dairy ice cream swirled with chocolate-covered nougat and soaked in caramel sauce.
A regular sized shake costs £2.19 and a mini McFlurry is just £1.69.
While all of these delicious treats landed on February 12, they will only be available for a limited time.
The McFlurry is only on sale until March 25 and the Philly Cheese Stack and Raspberry and White Chocolate Pie will be available until May 6.
Save money at McDonald's
YOU could end up being charged more for a McDonald's meal based solely on the McDonald's restaurant you choose.
Research by The Sun found a Big Mac meal can be up to 30% cheaper at restaurants just two miles apart from each other.
You can pick up a Big Mac and fries for just £2.99 at any time by filling in a feedback survey found on McDonald's receipts.
The receipt should come with a 12-digit code which you can enter into the Food for Thought website alongside your submitted survey.
You'll then receive a five-digit code which is your voucher for the £2.99 offer.
There are some deals and offers you can only get if you have the My McDonald’s app, so it’s worth signing up to get money off your meals.
The MyMcDonald’s app can be downloaded on iPhone and Android phones and is quick to set up.
You can also bag freebies and discounts on your birthday if you’re a My McDonald's app user.
