- Sex/Life (Series 1): There are plenty of raunchy moments in this erotic series, in which a suburban mother takes a fantasy-charged trip down memory lane, and this nightclub quickie in the very first scene is one of them. Billie Connelly (Sarah Shahi) and roguish boyfriend Brad Simon (Adam Demos) circle one another on the dance floor before he leads her into a back room and pushes her against the wall. He removes her knickers with his teeth before they have sex against the wall, knowing they could be caught at any moment.
- Lady Chatterley’s Lover (Barn scene): This historic drama, starring Emma Corrin as Connie Reid and Jack O’Connell as Oliver Mellors is based on DH Lawrence’s 1928 novel - which was banned in the UK until 1960 due to its X-rated content. This steamy scene sees Connie and Oliver kissing passionately inside a barn and sighing into one another’s mouths while the rain pours outside. “We can’t stay long, someone will notice,” Connie breathes, pausing only to lift her dress before she and Oliver start getting it on.
- Westworld (Season 1): Most people would grab an extinguisher if their home were to catch fire, but when flames surround Maeve Millay (Thandiwe Newton) and Hector Escaton (Rodrigo Santoro) they only reach for each other. Maeve murmurs: “This is where it gets hot.” Time is against them as they grind dangerously on one another with flames spreading across the room. The pair of them are seen in silhouettes having passionate sex as everything burns around them.
- Grey’s Anatomy (Season 2): When it comes to having sex in the workplace, a quickie is the only option - as doctors Alex Karev (Justin Chambers) and Izzie Stevens (Katherine Heigl) prove as they get it on in a store cupboard at Seattle Grace Hospital. Standing in her bra and scrubs, Izzie tells her on-off lover: "I'm horny, I'm half-naked, and I'm saying yes. Do you want to stand there and talk metaphors or do you want to literally take off your pants?" Needless to say, he takes off his pants.
- Gossip Girl (Season 3): Serena van der Woodsen (Blake Lively) and Nate Archibold (Chase Crawford) start their day by getting down and dirty with a quickie on the kitchen floor before heading out to brunch. What begins with Blake in her nightshirt, playfully stealing Nate’s toast, soon sees the pair wrapped around each other and pressed up against the fridge. From feeding one another whipped cream and strawberries, to rubbing caramel into one another’s bodies, breakfast time doesn’t get sexier than this.
- The Night Manager (Season 1): Jed Marshall (Elizabeth Debicki) and Jonathan Pine (Tom Hiddleston) have only a short time to sneak away together while her partner, villainous arms dealer Richard Roper (Hugh Laurie) is out. The sexual tension having mounted over previous episodes, the lovers waste no time once they get inside in Jonathan’s hotel room, barely closing the door before he pushes her against the wall, pulls down his trousers and they make love against the wall. The potential for them to be caught in the act only heightens the stakes.
