Three-second trick makes laundry day so much easier – you won’t need to sort through what should go in the dryer
A LAUNDRY guru has shared their time-saving trick using an affordable buy.
Their tip aims to make the everyday chore less stressful while preventing clothes from shrinking.
Redditor Tootsnyc has learned how to make laundry day a breeze with their three-second trick.
"If there are any garments that I don’t want to put in the dryer I put them in a net bag as I'm putting them in a hamper," they said.
"Bras that will be damaged by the heat, shirts with stains that I don’t want to get set by the heat, and garments that will shrink," they added.
The hack will save you from having to sort out what to put in or leave out of the dryer.
"I don’t have to remember which garments had stains, etc.," they said.
This also helps preserve particular pieces of clothing.
"There are some garments, like acrylic sweaters, that won’t shrink in the dryer but can be stretched out of shape," they said.
"And handkerchiefs, socks, and thin underwear will get sucked into the gasket of our building’s washing machines," they added.
They explained how this time they do put certain items in the net dryer-safe net bag.
"Sometimes I dump the thicker socks out of the net bag. If there aren’t a lot, or it’s the lightweight panties, I leave them in the bag," they said.
Amazon sells a Qinzin three-pack of laundry bags that come in small, medium, and large, for $5.99.
The reusable bags are described as being ideal for washing delicate items.
For best results, they recommend not overstuffing the bags.

Tip to remove yellow sweat stains
Yellow armpit stains affects everyone, whether people care to admit to it or not. But there is help at hand. To remove yellow stains from your clothing, experts recommend the following methods:
- Baking soda paste: The pros at The Laundry Cafe recommend mixing one tablespoon of hydrogen peroxide with one tablespoon of salt, and ½ cup of baking soda. Apply directly to the stain with a toothbrush, rub, and let the mixture sit for at least an hour, then wash as normal.
- Oxygen bleach: This method is just as useful for removing yellow stains. Mix one part of oxygen-based bleach with one part of ammonia in a non-metal bowl. Wear gloves during this application. Rub into the fabric with a toothbrush and allow the solution to sit for at least ten minutes before laundering as normal.
- Stain remover or detergent: Stains on collars can be stubborn to remove as armpit stains. So pretreat the area using a solvent-based stain-removing agent or detergent. Work the product into the collar with a toothbrush and allow it to sit for at least ten minutes before washing.
"Laundry doesn't take over our lives when done on a regular basis," one user shared.
"I have an absurd amount of baskets. Three for dirty - one in the bathroom, the bedroom, and the laundry room," commented another Redditor.
"I wash all the laundry and put the clean clothes in the clean baskets where they sit until all the clean baskets are full with clean clothes. Then I sort everything," they continued.
