We bought our 4-year-old daughter a Louis Vuitton bag – people say it’s ‘ridiculous’ but it’s a good inventment
A MOM has caused a stir online after dropping thousands on a gift for her four-year-old.
According to the woman, her young daughter wanted a designer handbag more than anything else.
In her video, Christi Fritz (@christifritz) took her followers along as her daughter Noelle picked out a designer handbag.
"We wanted to get her one that would last forever, that’s why we like investing in these bags plus, the prices of them always go up," the TikToker explained.
The family went to a mall that included high-end stores such as Prada, Dior, and Louis Vuitton.
"We let her look around a little bit to decide if she really wanted a Louis Vuitton or if she wanted something else," Christi told her viewers.
The young child walked around each store, pointing out various items that she liked.
"There were a few cute ones but nothing she actually wanted to buy so we went to the [Louis Vuitton] store," Christi said.
"Everything in here was so beautiful and I knew it was going to be hard to choose just the one, there were so many unique bags."
Noelle browsed the items on sale before Christi explained that she chose one off-camera.
"Overall, it was so hard to choose but I think the one we got is absolutely perfect for her and it’s something to wear forever," she said.
In a second clip, the young mom filmed her daughter as they unboxed the handbag.
"There were literally so many options at the store, so it was hard to pick one but this is the one that she chose," Christi said.
"I think it’ll be one that will be great for when she gets older too, it’s kind of big for her right now but it’s definitely something she can use forever."
Noelle opened the box to reveal she had opted for the classic checkered Louis Vuitton style.
"She ended up really liking this checkered pattern and then we went with the darker handles because I feel like these won’t get as dirt so it’ll last longer," Christi explained.
Noelle posed with the handbag, which reached down to her waist, and shared her excitement.
"I like it so much, I’m going to toys inside," she told the camera.
Despite the young child's enthusiasm, some viewers wondered if Christi was the one who really wanted the handbag.
"This is ridiculous. The bag is huge for her," wrote one TikTok user in the comments section.
"You could have taken her to Claire’s, I’m sure she would’ve been just as excited," said another follower.
"Kinda lame. That is not a kid's bag. Y'all are desperate for views," commented a third person.
