Arsenal transfer news LIVE: Saliba gives new contract update, Gunners chase Bruno Guimarães, Isak ‘price tag REVEALED’

  • Osimhen race

Victor Osimhen has taken a somewhat sabatical-like year from the top tier of European football as he applies his trade in Turkey.

However, his performances for Galatasaray (on loan from Napoli) - scoring 26 goals in 30 - has enhanced interest rather than temper it.

Niccolò Ceccarini reports that Manchester United, Arsenal and Juventus will all try to sign Victor Osimhen this summer.

He has a £63m release clause, which will need to triggered.

  • Calafiori on Saka's return

Riccardo Calafiori has revealed he believes Bukayo Saka's imminent return to injury will fire the Gunners to glory.

"Everyone will be happy if he comes back, he's a top player and he will make the difference for sure," the Italian said.

"You can see when he's on the pitch that he makes a big difference, he's an important player for us, he's a top guy as well so I wish he can play for us.

"He's going to do everything to come back for this big game but I'm not even thinking of Real Madrid right now, I'm thinking about Chelsea and then the national team, then we'll see."

  • Keown's Nwaneri fear

MARTIN KEOWN is desperate for Ethan Nwaneri NOT to get an England call-up this month over fears of fatigue.

TNT pundit Keown explained: "There’s a chance [Nwaneri] may make the international team. That’s a concern, that’s a worry.

"You take it if it comes but if it doesn’t, then he gets a nice bit of time with the manager, resting up between games so there’s a balance.

"It does one thing for confidence but another for the body. When you’re 17, you’re not even fully developed in terms of your cardiovascular system. You’re not really a man yet.

"There’s still some growing to do, and recently he has looked tired, like he was blowing, and this is normal for a 17-year-old kid.

"So it might be a time where he needs resting. And if he doesn’t make the full squad, does he need to be involved in the U21s?

"This has got to be sensibly managed between now and the end of the season."

  • Saliba on Arsenal future

WILLIAM SALIBA says he is "really happy" at Arsenal amid interest from Real Madrid – and wants to cement his North London legacy with trophies.

Ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League last 16 clash with PSV, Saliba said: “I'm really happy here. I've been here for two years and a half as well.

"There is nothing [to discuss]. I'm happy and I want to continue here."

Real Madrid are said to be interested in the towering centre back.

  • Stadium expansion

ARSENAL are exploring ways to expand the Emirates' capacity after being approached by an architect, reports claim.

It comes as Premier League rivals are moving quickly to expand their grounds or building new ones to supercharge financial revenue.

Talks are reportedly at an early stage, with a number of potential options being considered.

The cost and the length of the project are the main factors being discussed by Arsenal chiefs, while the impact on the surrounding area is also a major factor.

  • Sane deal

Leroy Sane is reportedly ready to take a pay cut to join Arsenal.

The German winger is out of contract in the summer, and could be available for a free transfer.

Sane earns around £17million-per-year at Bayern Munich.

According to CaughtOffside, he is willing to accept less than that to force through a move to the Gunners.

  • Isak on his future

I think I’ve said I’m not really thinking about the summer but yeah, that’ll probably be a talking point once the season is finished.

"We will really see because no talks have been held yet. About my future, it’s nothing really I think about.

"I’ve said many times during a season, just focus on the job and now is probably the worst time to think about anything else, so all of our focus is just on Sunday.

"As I have said many times, I don’t really look too much or think too much about my future.

"I have said I am happy here and we are contenders for titles, which is what you want to win as a football player. We have been to one final and now we are in another one, so the chances are there.

"This club can achieve great things. I think we should really look at it one season at a time and this season we can achieve winning a trophy which would be amazing for everyone."

  • Arteta on White's England return

MIKEL ARTETA saluted “brave” Ben White after he told Thomas Tuchel he wants an England return.

The Spaniard said: "What Ben did was very brave and not a lot of people would have done it.

“I was very involved in [White refusing to be called up].

“I know how Ben felt and it was very clear for me the reason why he made that decision.

“It wasn’t about [letting his country down]. It was about facing the situation and saying, ‘I can’t handle it now and I am not the best person to represent the country the way I feel right now’.

“So it was completely the opposite. What a lot of people would do is hide in that environment.

“Whatever the outcome, what I want is for Ben to be happy.

“Knowing Ben, he won’t be influenced by somebody else.

“And if they found that chemistry between Thomas and him, that’s great. If he wants to come and Thomas wants him, great.

“He has the level and the potential to achieve great things with the national team.”

  • Nunez an option

Liverpool could part ways with Darwin Nunez in the summer.

The Uruguayan has struggled at Anfield, recently becoming the fall guy by missing a penalty in the shootout Champions League defeat to PSG.

But, that may not deter Arsenal from making a move for the striker.

According to Fichajes, the Gunners could be the most likely destination for the forward.

They claim Mikel Arteta believes his physical strength and attacking ability could bring a different profile to Arsenal's squad.

  • Williams talks opened

Arsenal have reportedly opened talks with Nico Williams.

The Spain winger could leave Athletic Bilbao for between 48million-£67million, as per the release clause in his contract.

Now Bild claims the Gunners have made the first move for the wideman.

Bayern Munich, Barcelona, Liverpool and Chelsea are also said to be interested.

  • De Jong latest

Arsenal and Man Utd have been linked with a move for Barcelona star Frenkie de Jong.

And now his manager Hansi Flick has revealed the latest on the Dutch midfielder's contract situation.

Flick said: “De Jong’s future depends on both the club and himself.

"He has recovered well from injury and is performing excellently. His ability to control possession is vital, and I’m delighted to have him in the squad."

De Jong's contract is set to expire in the summer of 2026.

  • Williams priority

Nico Williams has been made Andrea Berta's biggest priority to sign this summer transfer window.

The Gunners have long been linked with the Spain winger.

Now, they want their new transfer guru to focus on signing the Athletic Bilbao wideman, as per Mikel Arteta's instructions.

Football Transfers claim Arteta wants Berta to use his Spanish connections to tempt Williams into a move to London.

  • Calafiori could be sold

According to reports in Spain, Real Madrid are tracking Arsenal's Italian Riccardo Calafiori.

The defender has lost his place in the Gunners line-up to Myles Lewis-Skelly this season.

The £42million summer signing has also struggled with injuries in his debut campaign.

Reports say the Gunners aren't desperate to sell.

However, if they receive an offer of around £67.5million, they might entertain a deal.

  • Zubimendi pursuit

Arsenal's pursuit of Martin Zubimendi is at an "advanced stage", according to transfer expert David Ornstein.

The Athletic journalist added that the Gunners are confident it's a matter of time before everything gets finalised for the Spaniard.

But Ornstein warned there could be an issue with paying the midfielder's £52.5million release clause.

He said: “I think if Arsenal are going to commit huge expense on a striker, and if Zubimendi gets done, it’s surely inevitable there needs to be resources raised from a sale or multiple.

“It wouldn’t shock me to see a notable player depart this summer but, at the time of writing, I don’t know who that might be.”

  • Saka injury latest

MIKEL ARTETA has offered an injury update on Bukayo Saka.

Arteta said: "He is going to be here [at the Arsenal training ground], hopefully more with ball at his feet than he has had.

"That will mean he is passing the ball and shooting and running and everything. He has done quite a lot already on the pitch working on his own.

"Next we need to arrange it with people around him in a more competitive training session and see how he goes with that.

"He's getting closer, he's stepping up and making a very good progress I would say.

"So, let's see when we start to throw him in with the team, how he reacts and how fit he can get quickly."

  • Sesko could be a key signing

Ex-Arsenal star Emmanuel Petit believes Benjamin Sesko could be a big signing for the Gunners in the summer.

He told  CasinoAppsThatPayRealMoney.com: "RB Leipzig didn’t want to sell Benjamin Sesko last summer, I think he still needed to gain more experience and grow as a human being as well as a footballer.

"I think he has improved a lot since then, he can play in different areas and both on his own and with a team-mate, he has good movement and technical ability.

"He has improved a lot but is still learning, he could be a really good prospect for Arsenal. I think for years they have tried to bring players through or gradually improve young players, but what they need now is top players who have a pedigree, who have already won things.

"Sesko could be interesting for Arsenal, he would be more than welcome, but what they really need is a top player who has been doing it for years."

It is also understood that he will likely leave Lisbon at the end of the current season.

The Daily Trust reported that Arsenal and Napoli have reached an agreement on a £62 million move for Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen.

Arsenal may also attempt to fulfill RB Leipzig striker Benjamin Sesko's £58million release clause after the season concludes.

Meanwhile, Andrea Berta reportedly intends to entice Wolves striker Matheus Cunha to join the Emirates Stadium this summer.

  • Thomas Partey set to leave this summer

The Gunners are "unlikely" to extend their contract with Thomas Partey after offering the midfielder a significant cut.

  • Uncertainty over Zinchenko's future

Oleksandr Zinchenko has one year left on his contract, and no talks have yet taken place regarding a new one.

He said about his future at Arsenal: “I don’t know yet to be honest.

“If I would know, I could tell [you]. It’s still a long way to go until the end of the season.

“I think we are at the stage and the most interesting period of the season, where every single game is a final and you never know what is going to happen in football.”

Zinchenko has played left back for Arsenal his entire career, but on Wednesday he made his first appearance in midfield for the Gunners.

Mikel Arteta announced on Tuesday that he will have talks with the left-back, who was a target for Borussia Dortmund during the January transfer window, in the summer.

  • Sterling might move to Fulham

Raheem Sterling will be leaving Arsenal at the end of this season.

With Willian finishing his contract with Fulham this season, Sterling could be stepping in to fill in his place.

  • Arsenal in competition with Liverpool over transfer

Arsenal is facing a competition with Liverpool over yet another winger, Leroy Sane.

Leroy Sane's contract with Bayern Munich will expire in June - although it's possible he will stay with his team.

Mikel Arteta thinks the 29-year-old's quality and pace would be ideal for his plan, which could lead to competition between these English clubs for his signing.

  • Arsenal and Liverpool eye a Lyon wonderkid

Arsenal and Liverpool are eyeing up Lyon wonderkid winger Malick Fofana.

CaughtOffside reported that Fofana is willing to leave Lyon for an offer of €50 million.

Fofana hasn't received any approaches as of yet, but it's evident that teams value him based on encouraging scouting reports.

  • Berta's budget

Arsenal's new sporting director Andrea Berta has reportedly been given a budget of £300million for new signings this summer.

The Gunners will also want to add a striker, a winger, and a defensive midfielder.
