Parents: tell us about the books that got your child into reading

Children’s reading enjoyment has fallen to its lowest level in almost two decades, a new survey has found, with only 35% of eight to 18-year-olds enjoying reading in their spare time.

The report by the National Literacy Trust (NLT) showed that secondary school-age children have showed the steepest declines in reading enjoyment.

With this in mind, we would like to hear from parents about the books that have engaged their children. What book was their favourite, and why?
