    Chelsea are set to reject a cheeky bid by Atletico Madrid for Conor Gallagher.

    The Spanish giants have expressed an interest in the England midfielder, who is currently on international duty at Euro 2024.

    But the La Liga side are struggling to get anywhere near the £50million valuation placed on the academy graduate.

    Gallagher, 24, has just one year left on his contract and Chelsea are willing to listen to offers for one of their most senior players.

    Sources in Spain claim Atletico, who finished fourth in La Liga last season, may go for a loan bid but that too is likely to fail.

  • Blues sees striker bid snubbed

    Atletico Madrid have rejected Chelsea's £34million bid for Samu Omorodion, according to reports.

    Chelsea reportedly launched a £34m bid - add-ons included - for the 20-year-old this week.

    However, it was turned down by Atletico Madrid, says Fabrizio Romano.

    And it could see Chelsea reignite their interest in Aston Villa's Jhon Duran instead.

  • Foxes' Potter plans go awry

    Leicester are closing in on appointing Steve Cooper as their new manager, according to reports.

    SunSport exclusively revealed on Tuesday that Graham Potter was the front-runner to replace Enzo Maresca.

    However, talks have now broken down with the ex-Brighton and Chelsea boss.

    This has opened the door for Welshman Cooper - who has been out of work since being sacked by Nottingham Forest in December.

  • Ipswich enquire about Chelsea star

    Ipswich have sent an enquiry to Chelsea over a how much a deal for Omari Hutchinson would cost, The Athletic have reported.

    Hutchinson has made just two appearances for Chelsea since arriving from London rivals Arsenal in 2022.

    The 20-year-old is highly rated and spent last season on loan with Ipswich in the Championship.

    Hutchinson impressed for the Tractor Boys, scoring ten goals and registering six assists in 44 league appearances.

  • Kvaratskhelia gives update

    Khvicha Kvaratskhelia has given an update on his future.

    The Napoli winger has been linked with a number of top clubs recently with PSG, Liverpool, Arsenal and others rumoured to be keen.

    But the 23-year-old is keen to keep his focus on the Euros for the time being after his Georgia side lost 3-1 to Turkey today.

    Speaking to Sky after the game, he said: "I’m only focused on the Euros, then after I will decide about my future”.

    “I’m not even thinking about that now, full focus on Georgia. I don’t want to take into consideration all things being said around it."

  • Hale ending

    Three Hale End graduates are considering leaving Arsenal this summer.

    According to The Athletic, Eddie Nketiah, Emile Smith Rowe and Reiss Nelson are considering their futures at the club.

    Smith Rowe and Nketiah both struggled for minutes last season and would represent pure profit on Arsenal’s books if they were to be sold, but no price tag has been confirmed for either player.

    While it’s said that Arsenal would be looking to secure a fee of around £20million plus add-ons to let Nelson leave this summer.

    Man Utd have joined race to sign Marc Guehi, according to the Daily Mail.

    Guehi has attracted the attention of some Premier League giants after an impressive few seasons for Crystal Palace.

    And the 23-year-old only added to his value with a dominant display for England against Serbia on Sunday night.

    The Telegraph have reported Palace have set a price of £65m.

    Liverpool and Tottenham are both said to be interested as well.

  • Prem trio eye Xavi Simons

    French outlet L'Equipe has claimed that Premier League trio Arsenal, Manchester City and Manchester United are all interested in signing Xavi Simons.

    The PSG forward is currently representing the Netherlands at Euro 2024.

    It's claimed that Simons, 21, doesn't believe that PSG "offer the right environment" to continue his development.

    The star has spent the last two seasons on loan at RB Leipzig and PSV Eindhoven.

    The Prem clubs could face competition for his signature with German giants Bayern Munich also understood to be interested.

    Chelsea have seen a £34m package turned down by Atletico Madrid for Samu Omorodion, according to Fabrizio Romano.

    Brighton have made an enquiry for £30million-rated Leeds forward Crysencio Summerville.

    The Seagulls are one of several clubs showing interest in the Dutch ace who was the Championship Player of the Year last season.

    Crystal Palace and Chelsea are also in the hunt for Summerville, who scored 21 goals as his team came within a whisker of promotion — with Leeds losing the play-off final to Southampton.

    The 22-year-old still has two years left on his contract at Elland Road so the Yorkshire giants will demand a sizeable fee.

    The Athletic have revealed a number of targets that Manchester United are keen on this simmer.

    The Red Devils are hoping to strengthen in central defence and have been linked with Everton and England defender Jarrad Branthwaite.

    Kylian has joined Real Madrid as a free agent this summer and his brother could possibly follow him to the Spanish captial.

    Ethan, 17, has left PSG as a free agent after announcing his departure on social media.

    A statement on his Instagram read: "It was the beginning of seven years when my daily life and my heart vibrated in red and blue.

    West Ham boss Julen Lopetegui is reportedly hoping for a reunion with Wolves captain Max Kilman.

    Lopetegui managed Kilman during his time with Wolves and is now keen on signing him for the Hammers, according to Sky Sports reporter Dharmesh Sheth.

    Kilman penned a five-year deal with Wolves last summer and the midlands club are understood to be unwilling to sell the 27-year-old.

  • Man Utd eye Zirkzee

    Manchester United are reportedly interest in signing Joshua Zirkzee to provide competition for Rasmus Hojlund.

    The Red Devils are said to be keen on the Netherlands striker alongside interest in Ivan Toney and Jonathon David.

    But The Athletic claim their interest in Zirkzee is firmer.

    They will face competition for the Bologna star’s signature with AC Milan also said to be interested.

    While Arsenal have also been linked with a move.

    Bristol Rovers are set to win the race for highly-rated Chippenham Town teenager Dan Ellison.

    Ellison, 19, has enjoyed trials at the likes of Sheffield Wednesday, Derby County and Reading, but Bristol Rovers have moved to win the race for the talented teenager.

    The centre-back also impressed during a training stint at Bristol Rovers and the League One club have quickly offered him a deal to fend off interest from other clubs.

    Man Utd are set to prepare a concrete bid for Genoa goalkeeper Josep Martinez, according to Foot Mercato.

    It comes amid reports Altay Bayindir could leave the club this summer.

    Man Utd and Arsenal are in a race to sign 19-year-old Rennes midfielder Désiré Doué, according to Academy Scoop.

    The report suggests the two sides made contact with the players representatives in May.

    He has been described as "unplayable" by team-mate Baptiste Santamaria.

    Reports in France suggest Rennes will want a fee of around the same they got for Jeremy Doku from Man City last summer.

    Everton are in advanced talks over a deal for Aston Villa star Tim Iroegbunam.

    The 20-year-old, who joined Villa in 2022, comes highly rated.

    No agreement has yet been reached on personal terms, though The Athletic report this will not be an issue.

    The move would come with Amadou Onana linked with a Goodison exit this summer.

    Grimsby have agreed a deal to sign former Reading defender Matty Carson on a free transfer. 

    Carson has agreed a two-year deal with the Mariners.

  • Newcastle eye surprise move for Iceland star

    Newcastle are one of three Premier League clubs eyeing a shock move for Iceland star Jon Dagur Thorsteinsson.

    It comes with Newcastle also looking at deals for Michael Olise and Crysencio Summerville.

    Thorsteinsson - who scored the winner as Iceland beat England 1-0 ahead of the Euros - is being tracked by West Ham, Leicester and the Magpies.

    A source close to the deal told Chronicle Live: "He has always dreamed of playing in the Premier League.

    "I think he showed at Wembley that he’s capable of playing at the highest level in England."

  • Amrabat tells Fiorentina he doesn’t want to stay

    Sofyan Amrabat has told Fiorentina he does not want return after his loan spell at Man Utd.

    Man Utd have a £17m buy option in there deal with the Italian side to buy the midfielder permanently. That options expires at the end of the month.

    On his future, Amrabat told Ziggo: “Do I already know what I’m going to do next year?

    “No. We are going to talk. Staying is certainly an option.”

    The 27-year-old only came into form towards the end of the season but played a starring role in the FA Cup final win over Man City.

    The Moroccan played 30 games overall for Man Utd.
