‘Scraping the barrel’ rant furious Celeb Big Brother fans as they call for contestant to be kicked off show immediately
CELEBRITY Big Brother fans have fumed that one contestant needs to be kicked off the show immediately.
Many ITV viewers were initially impressed with the line-up as TalkTV's Sharon Osbourne, X Factor's Louis Walsh, Strictly's Nikita Kuzmin were among the first ones to enter the house on last night's launch show.
But thing soon went downhill as fans raged that the calibre of celebs were underwhelming - saying bosses had been "scraping the barrel".
While others insisted that Gary Goldsmith, who is the uncle of Kate Middleton, should be axed because he is not a celebrity.
One wrote: "Kate’s uncle is a bloody weirdo - get him out Sharon," to which a second responded: "Aye they’re literally scraping the barrel putting him in. Hes no even a celebrity."
A third commented: "Yeah, he's not a celebrity. He's literally not. He's just the uncle of someone famous. Scraping the barrel with this one you guys."

A fourth echoed: "Jesus Christ, scrapping the barrel with this one."
While another added: "Get Gary out public, shame on him."
His arrival came after we revealed Kate’s mum Carole — Gary’s sister — is “infuriated” and fears he could spill royal secrets on the show.
The Princess of Wales is recuperating at home following abdominal surgery nearly seven weeks ago.
It is understood the Palace is also anxious about what Gary might say about the royals and Kate’s family.
A source said: “Gary said he’s been read the riot act by Kate’s mum Carole and her dad Michael.
“They aren’t happy he’s going into Celebrity Big Brother.
“It is infuriating for them. Kate doesn’t need this stress.”
Despite the family’s concerns, those close to him have insisted he will only speak fondly of niece Kate.
He attended her wedding to Prince William in 2011 and her sister Pippa’s marriage to billionaire James Matthews six years later.
Our insider added: “In the eyes of the public, Gary’s become the black sheep of the Middleton family. Carole is his sister, so there will always be love, but they no longer see eye-to-eye on lots of things.
“He has said he doesn’t have their blessing to go into the house but is going full steam ahead anyway.
“He wants to defend his family. Gary wouldn’t do anything to embarrass Kate or William, who he thinks a lot of.

“With Kate being out of the public eye at the moment and William shouldering a lot, the last thing they want is for Uncle Gary to be causing any embarrassment on television.
"Gary has said he knows what he is doing and has told his friends he’d never do anything to hurt his family.”
