Nintendo Switch owners can grab two incredible 90+ rated games absolutely free
NINTENDO is adding two games that Switch owners will be able to play for free, but there is a catch.
Both titles are beloved RPGs from the Game Boy Advance era, and they are finally coming to Nintendo’s latest console.
Golden Sun and its sequel, Golden Sun: The Lost Age, were quite popular when they first launched and will soon be playable via Nintendo Switch Online.
Being Game Boy Advance titles, the games will be available only to members of Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack, the upper tier of Nintendo’s subscription service.
Subscribers will be able to play the games at no additional cost starting on January 17, 2024, via the Game Boy Advance app on the Switch.
The app can be downloaded free of charge from the eShop on the Nintendo Switch.

Players who are members of the basic tier of Nintendo Switch Online need to top up their subscription to gain access to Game Boy Advance and Nintendo 64 titles.
The two games are very highly regarded, with the original Golden Sun game currently sitting at a 91/100 rating on review aggregator Metacritic.
Despite their dated visuals – the games released in 2001 and 2002 for a handheld console – Golden Sun and its sequel are really great JRPGs, and must-plays for any fan of the genre.
Set in the fantasy world of Weyard, Golden Sun has you guide a group of adepts at magic tasked with preventing a destructive force from unleashing upon their world.
The games feature a form of magic called Psynergy, which players use both in combat and to solve puzzles and reach new areas of the world.
The release of Golden Sun and Golden Sun: The Lost Age for the Switch has been a long time coming, as Nintendo promised to add the classics over a year ago.
These new Nintendo Switch Online + Expansion Pack releases of the games will be feature-complete and look and play exactly as fans of the series remember them.
Nintendo has also confirmed that the games will support multiplayer battle mode and the option to transfer save data between the two games.
If you are looking for more free stuff for your Nintendo games, you can now catch a new mythical Pokémon in Scarlet & Violet.
