But, garages can charge drivers thousands of pounds to do the swap.

One mechanic has revealed on TikTok how motorists can do it themselves at home for far cheaper.

Car stylists Utopia Prints from County Durham have shown off their simple push and pull method.

The minute-long clip reveals the mechanic using string to pry off badges on a Mercedes A160.

He then uses different power tools to buff off glue and leave the car's panelling looking shiny and new.

Once dry, he can then lay down the new stickers and give the car "that sleek and expensive look".

The clip also sees the mechanic attach a new spoiler to the back of the whip by drilling holes into the car's roof.

Finally, he attaches a black version of the Mercedes badge onto the front grill.

Fans of the changes largely commented on all the effort Utopia Prints had gone through for a Mercedes hatchback.

One said: "To all of you writing, its just an A160. Maybe its the persons dream car and theyre trying to make it look cooler."

Meanwhile, one car whizz took to TikTok to share a handy new gadget that turns your average rear view mirror into a multi-functional device.

The £80 gadget is essentially a mirror that has two cameras, CarPlay and other functions.

Another cheap upgrade is a £30 cold air filter system could improve the performance of your motor and lead to fuel savings.

A cold air intake system works by sucking in the hot air in the engine bay, helping to reduce the temperature as well as increasing the volume of cold and dense air reaching the engine.
