I bought Poundland top for failed Halloween costume, now it’s essential part of my wardrobe
A FASHIONISTA has told of her shock after a top she planned as part of a Halloween outfit became the latest addition to her wardrobe.
Ash Reid, from Glasgow, bought a budget burgundy number from Pep&Co in Poundland as part of a joke costume.
After dressing her kids as Celia Mae and Mike Wazowski from animated flick Monsters Inc, she planned on joining in by pretending to be slug-like creature Roz Wazowski.
She never got to dress up on October 31 and thought the chance to wear the top has passed her by.
But in a TikTok video, she bravely tried it on and couldn’t believe the outcome.
She said: “My kids went as Celia and Mike Wazowski for Halloween.
“I had every intention of dressing up this year. I thought I’d go as Roz Wazowski. That lady, that slug.
“I got this top from Pep&Co at Poundland to be Roz and then never got to be her.
“I bought this with her being my muse so obviously not thinking it was going to be a top that I would actually wear.
“But I have a bra this colour and I don’t mind it.”
After realising she loved it on, she added: “Looks like I’m going to see if they’ve got more colours.
“This neckline - are you kidding me? Very cute.”
And her followers felt the same way about the fit.
One said: “You suit that colour.”
Another wrote: “Looking amazing, Ash.”
Ash regularly shares her lifestyle tips and shopping hauls on social media, Ash - Mama Reid.
She recently revealed the simple £1.59 hack she swears by to clean her "gross" walk in shower.
And the £1.99 gap cleaning brush is currently on offer for just £1.59 on TikTok Shop.
Ash - mum to Ella and Charlie - gushed: "This is a game-changer.
"See any of that kinda gross build up of dust and dirt? You just do that [sweep the brush across it] and it goes onto the bristles of this brush.
"It has just completely changed the game because honestly I used to hate having to try and put bits of tissue paper down here and grab any of the dirt that's stuck, because it's just a build up of like dust and water.
"So this wee gadget just really gets in there and then it actually pulls all the grime out.
"I wish I had this five years ago when I bought this house. It's brilliant."
