Strictly Come Dancing fans spot huge ‘snub’ to show star during the final after rumours of backstage feud

STRICTLY Come Dancing fans have spotted that one contestant has been "snubbed" from the show following rumours of a backstage feud.

On Saturday night, Coronation Street star Ellie Leach, 22, beat West End star Layton and EastEnders actor Bobby Brazier to claim the top spot after three long months of training.

But some fans were convinced that Strictly bosses had taken a subtle swipe at former star Amanda Abbington - after leaving her photo out of the "celebrity wall".

Viewers were wowed by Bobby and pro partner Dianne Buswell's  La La Land Medley for their Show Dance.

But behind them was a wall featuring former contestants that had been knocked out of the competition this series - including the likes of Adam Thomas, Angela Scanlon and Nigel Harman.

But Amanda's picture was nowhere to be seen - promoting fans to speculate that they actress had been left out on purpose.

One wrote: "Noticed that they didn't have Amanda Abbington on the wall."

While another also spotted a second celebrity missing and posted: "Annabel wasn't on the wall either (in Bobby and Dianne's Hollywood routine)."

While one viewer explained: "Think it was everyone who’d been voted off the show at the first time he did this dance. Annabel was still in the competition when the set was made."

TV star Amanda quit the show in a shock twist weeks ago, and the BBC shared in advance that she would not be attending the final at the weekend.

In a statement made earlier this week, a spokesperson for the show told OK!: "Amanda decided to withdraw from the competition, therefore she will not be returning for the final."

The Sherlock actress was originally partnered with Italian professional Giovanni Pernice when she was granted a week off because of health struggles.

There have been rumours that the 51-year-old is feuding with her dance partner, and that might be the reason why she left Strictly.

Following reports of a rift, ­Giovanni said: “It’s a difficult process, especially for people who have never done Strictly before.”

Viewers hit out at her missing the huge final night, with one saying: "Just spotted that Nigel is there in the Clauditorium, even though he had to drop out before the end. And Amanda… isn’t."

Another joked sarcastically: "Got to find it amusing that Claudia says on the Strictly final everyone is back. Can she see Amanda Abbington when no one else can?"
