"A Sky Full of Bots"
Fans are already giving up on Coldplay's general sale, with one joking that the band will be performing to "A Sky Full of Bots" after ticket scalpers instantly snapped up tickets.
The band announced that seated tickets would cost between £57.75 and £195.25, but scalpers are already selling them for more than double that price.
Another fan on X expressed their frustration, writing: "To all the people selling their tickets already 10 minutes after the sale began while the rest of us have 50K people in front of us, I wish you the worst day ever."
Coldplay’s affordable ticket prices undercut by chaos
Coldplay previously received praise for announcing affordable ticket prices for their 2025 tour, including limited edition 'Infinity Tickets' available for as little as £20.
The band revealed that half of the tickets for the Hull shows would be reserved for local fans with HU, YO, DN, or LN postcodes, and that 10% of the proceeds would be donated to Music Venue Trust to support grassroots venues across the country.
However, many fans now find tickets once again out of reach, facing overwhelming queues of 90,000 within seconds of the presale going live.
Fans blast ticketmaster
Fans have taken to X to voice their outrage at Ticketmaster, describing the ticket-buying experience as a complete 'joke.'
One person raged on X: "I just don’t understand. I know 99% of them are scams but it’s so f**king unfair. I’m just a normal Coldplay fan with a code in at 9am, like I was told to and I’m 163,000th in the queue but yet there’s people already selling f**king tickets."
Another said: "POV: you joined the waiting room EARLY as soon as it went live to try and get Coldplay tickets but Ticketmaster doesn't like you what a mess, no way 150k+ pre-ordered."
A third posted: "Ticketmaster really need to stop giving presale codes to everybody because why is there 90k people ahead of me for a Coldplay show on a WEDNESDAY."
