BBC Breakfast’s Naga Munchetty scolds co-stars and gives major side-eye after being left out of ‘show tradition’

BBC Breakfast anchor Naga Munchetty told off two of her co-stars today after being left out of a 'Christmas tradition'.

The broadcaster feigned outrage and gave a menacing side eye to sports journalist Chetan Pathak after he coordinated his outfit with Naga's co-host Charlie Stayt.

Both men were suited and booted and wore matching burgundy ties, prompting Charlie to say: "I did notice earlier on you got the memo about the ties."

Chetan replied: "I thought it was that time of year we wear the same burgundy tie, so we did it, Charlie."

Naga glanced down at her blouse, before flashing some side-eye at Chetan and saying: "Why didn't I get the memo?"

Smiling Charlie nervously answered: "Don't know really. Chetan, you can answer that one."

It was all fun and games really though as the trio posed for a happy photograph afterwards to say goodbye to their final show of the year.

Chetan wrote on X: "Thanks for watching, and however you’re seeing in the new year this weekend - wishing you a good one x."

The studio fun comes a day after weatherwoman Carol Kirkwood revealed on the show that she and partner Steve Randall, 48, had tied the knot on Wednesday in Buckinghamshire.

Chatting to Naga, Carol shared a slew of images from the big day which showed her wearing a stunning off-the-shoulder white gown with a white bouquet.

She said: "It was the most perfect and romantic and intimate wedding.

"We are both so incredibly happy."
