A MALCOLM in the Middle star who quit acting and shunned a showbiz lifestyle following the show's end has appeared to confirm he will be making a comeback for the show's reboot.
Fans of the original sitcom were left delighted when it was revealed that Disney+ had decided to bring back the programme for a brand new incarnation.
The new reboot will only last four episodes but it now seems that most of the show's original cast are on board - even one show star who ditched acting altogether at the conclusion of the show.
In the programme, fans saw as Malcolm and his three brothers - Reese, Francis and Dewey - dealt with everything life threw at them alongside their mum Lois and their father, Hal.
Malcolm star Frankie Muniz previously revealed he would be back for the show as well as the actors who played his parents, Bryan Cranston and Jane Kaczmarek.
Now, it appears that the character of Reese will also be back and performed by the same star.
Justin Belfield notably disappeared from the spotlight after the show's conclusion in the mid-2000s.
Aside from a few animated voice roles, he became one of sitcom's most rarely-seen stars.
Now it appears that his fate is sealed after a very telling Instagram post.
Taking to the social media platform, Justin, 38, wrote: "On my way to meet the MITM fam. See you soon!"
It prompted a response from Dewey actor Erik Per Sullivan.
Like Justin, Erik has also quit fame following the show but he did leave a cryptic reply until Justin's latest upload.
Erik commented two clapping emoji's and a heart emoji but did not clarify his involvement any further.
He has not been seen on-screen for 15 years last appearing in 2010's Twelve movie.
