Cheapest place to buy fizz this week ready for Valentine’s Day and it’s not Iceland or Lidl
VALENTINE'S Day is virtually upon us as supermarkets battle it out to offer the cheapest bottles of bubbly.
You can save a few quid shopping around for your weekly groceries, not least when it comes to prosecco, champagne and sparkling wines.
And with Valentine's Day just around the corner, you'll want to make the most of all the best deals on offer.
To save you some of the hard work, we've scoured the shelves to find the best prices we could find across all the major supermarkets.
Remember though, to always use price comparison tools such as Trolley.co.uk as you might be able to find cheaper bottles than us.
Aldi - Asti D.O.C.G. Vino Spumante 75cl - £4.49
Which?'s cheapest supermarket of the year Aldi is selling a reasonably priced bottle of Asti prosecco for just £4.49.

The retailer says the bubbly comes with hints of candyfloss and pear drops and an ABV of 7%.
Shoppers with a more more cash can pick up a bottle of Costellore Proccini sparkling wine for £4.99.
But remember you'll have to head in-store as Aldi doesn't offer home delivery.

Asda - Henri Cachet Champagne Brut 75cl - £15
Asda shoppers looking to splash out a little more can pick up its Henri Cachet Champagne for £15.
The ABV 9% bottle is only on sale at Asda too, and you won't find it anywhere else.
The bubbly is well-balanced and fruity, with hints of citrus and vanilla, according to the retailer's website.
Iceland - Maison de la Rougerie Brut Crémant de Bordeaux 75cl - £9.50
Romantics looking to snap up a bottle of champers for a bit less than Asda should head to Iceland.
The bargain chain has a bottle of Maison de la Rougerie Brut Crémant de Bordeaux on sale for £9.50.
The fizz comes with hints of orange-blossom flavour and plenty of five star reviews on Iceland's website.
Lidl - Allini Prosecco Treviso Frizzante - £5.49
Lidl's Allini prosecco stems from the Veneto region of Italy and comes in at £5.49.
The German retailer said the fizz is best enjoyed with an aperitif or canapé, with light and off-dry tasting notes.
You can only buy the bottle in-store though as Lidl doesn't do delivery.

Sainsbury's Prosecco Frizzante 75cl - £6
Sainsbury's' Prosecco Frizzante comes in at just £6 and is ideal for anyone that likes a bubbly with hints of apple.
The frizzante is a semi-sparkling wine that the retailer says is ideal accompanying a salad - great if you're looking to keep your Valentine's healthy.
The Italian fizz comes in with an ABV of 10.5%.
Co-op - Stormhoek Fairtrade Moscato Rose 75cl - £5.35
This lively Moscato Rose costs just £5.35 and comes with hints of strawberry and cherry.
The South African bottle is also suitable for vegans and vegetarians.
You can't buy the rose online though so will have to head to your nearest Co-op branch.

Aldi - Nicolas De Montbart Champagne 75cl - £11.99
Aldi shoppers can pick up a bottle of champers for £12 within days after the retailer slashed the price of its Nicolas De Montbart champagne.
But you'll only be able to get it between February 8 and February 14 in store.

The bubbly comes with fruit and floral notes, combining champagne with chardonnay, pinot noir and pinot meunier.
