In a clip shared to TikTok (@thisgirldoeshair), Mary begins by discussing the ideal products suitable for someone who needs to wash their hair regularly.

Holding up a bottle of £7.99 'Charles Worthington 'Everyday gentle' micellar shampoo,' she says: "So I think an everyday dental shampoo is great.

"It's a micellar shampoo, so it's sulphate-free, it won't strip colour, it won't dry the hair out, it won't make your hair feel completely parched from shampooing everyday, but it will lift build up and it will make your scalp feel amazing."

She continues: "If you have fine hair or you've got thick hair but quite an oily scalp and you just feel like dry shampoo doesn't cut it and you just like to wash it as often as possible, this is a great one."

The hair whizz points out that they also have a conditioner that goes with the shampoo.

"But I would actually say to go for the 'clean and protect one,' she explains.

"It's a deeper cleansing shampoo that might be slightly drying if you use it frequently, but the 'Cleaner Protect Conditioner' is a hyaluronic acid based conditioner, so it's not heavy at all, but will really, really hydrate the hair.

"So if your hair's particularly fine, if you have conditioner build up, this is a great one."

Next up, Mary notes that for anyone with an oily scalp, Neutrogena's T Gel range is also worth a shot.

Holding up the brand's £6.99 oily scalp shampoo, she explains: "It says anti -dandruff, but if you just have an oily scalp or you get a lot of build up, this is a great one.

I haven't washed my hair in three weeks... trolls reckon I could easily 'cook McDonald's fries' in all the grease but I think I look great

"It's different to the normal one because that is for eczema, psoriasis and irritated scalp and kind of a more scalp condition," she says.

"This has salicylic acid in it, so it's slightly exfoliating as well. So a really good one if your scalp is very oily."

However, if your hair is fine and on the thinning side, the hair pro recommends the 'Deros technology energy' range - including the stimulating shampoo, which costs £9.37 and has aminexil and niacinamide in it.

She points out that aminexil is a "great stimulant" that can "help hair loss" while niacinamide and vitamin E is hydrating, and AHA is exfoliating.

The hair whizz also recommends the "lightweight" conditioner that goes with it for anyone that suffers with fine hair or split ends.

"This has got ceramides in it and it's also got amino acid, so it's slightly strengthening," she points out.

"It's a good one to preserve length if you feel like you struggle with keeping your length healthy."

Moving on, Mary holds up 'The Inkey list gylcolic acid' and 'salicylic acid', £13.99, before explaining the difference between the two.

"When it comes to which one, glycolic acid is more if you use a lot of product and you get build up and you need that taken off the scalp, but your scalp is relatively unproblematic," she explains.

"But if you have more of a problematic scalp, like it's itchy, dandruff, psoriasis, eczema, extra oily, salicylic acid is the better one to go for."

The hair whizz also goes on to praise her "favourite" £12 'Arkive the 'reset' dry shampoo and praised: "This is really, really great.

"It's less of a dry shampoo, I call it more of a hair refresher. If you have oily hair or fine hair, it adds a little bit of volume."

In lieu of that one she says another great option for oily scalps is the £11.50 'Klorane dry shampoo' with nettle.

"Nettle can be soothing, so if you're someone that uses a lot of dry shampoo and you feel like your scalp gets irritated or itchy from it, the nettle in this one will soothe it," she explains.

Mary also praises the £5.95 'Sukin Deep Cleanse Shampoo' and recommends it for someone who washes their hair regularly but wants a brand that's sulphate-free and paraben-free.

The hair pro goes on to say how she can't talk about fine hair and oily skin without giving a shout out to the £3.75 'L'oreal IV Hydro Pure range'.

Discussing the shampoo, she explains: "It's got salicylic acid in it so it's slightly exfoliating, and the conditioner has hyaluronic acid in it, so it's a really nice lightweight conditioner for longer, finer hair.

"And they also have a scalp treatment which has 6% salicylic acid in it, so again, really good to use before you shampoo on dry hair."

Not stopping there, she also says she's a fan of Aveeno's 'volumising shampoo for fine hair,' which is sulphate-free and has peppermint oil, rosemary extract, and also cucumber water in it.

"So it's soothing, but also the rosemary is slightly stimulating, so it could help possibly with thinner hair and promoting hair growth," she explains.

And last bit not least, Mary recommends the £11.99 L''oreal Avive Hydro Hyaluronic Wonder Water.'

"I love the Wonder Water for fine hair as a conditioner," she says.

"I use this as my main conditioner and then if I need something else, I'll use it throughout the week...this is great for hydrating finer hair, not making it feel heavy."
