Step 1: Protect your furniture and floor

The six piece set includes foils, masking tape, paper roll, cover sheets and a special cutter.

Step 2: Prep the walls

Products: Painting Accessory Set - £4.99 and Masking Tape - £1.99

It's recommended to prep the walls or area you're painting before applying a new coat.

Aldi's Scraper Set has three pieces - a stainless steel scraper, window scrape and wire brush, with 10 spare blades - and is ideal for removing paint, rust and residue from various surfaces to ensure a smooth base.

Masking tape can help you paint straight lines. Stick it to the bottom of the skirting board, where it meets the carpet, or around door frames, and light switches. If you're creating a feature wall, run it down the edges of the wall to ensure a clean line.

The Painting Tool Set has all the essentials you need to "make the painting job more precise and efficient".

It comes with five pieces - a pot with handle, paint mixer, roller, can opener and paint guard.

Step 3: Gather your tools

Products: Soft Touch Brush Set - £3.99, Telescopic Paint Roller Set - £4.99, 2-Step Stool - £19.99

For cutting in, or smaller areas, you'll need a selection of paint brushes.

The set of five high-quality polyester rounded bristle paint brushes are suitable for all paints and varnishes, give your room a quick spruce.

If you want to get the job done quickly, or need to paint the ceiling, opt for a roller. The two-step stool is also useful if you need to get into those hard-to-reach areas.

Step 4: Choose the right paint

Product: Tin of paint - £6.99

You can't use any of the tools or products above without paint!

Luckily, the Specialbuys has a selection of paints—gloss or silk matt —for radiators, woodwork, and walls.

The radiator paint is heat resistant up to 80°C and non-yellowing, with good adhesion. It's also water-dilutable, wipeable and easily applied with a brush.

Aldi says it's ideally suited for demanding coatings on all hot water radiators as well as other solid grounds, for iron, steel or cast iron-grounds

The gloss paint can be used inside or out, is non-yellowing, quick-drying, with a pure acrylic formula.

After a new lick of paint, why not set the ambience of the room with Aldi's new range of candles and diffusers.
