‘It was great before tailoring, don’t show everything God gave you,’ people slate guest’s ‘inappropriately tight’ dress
A WEDDING guest has looked to the internet for fashion advice for the black tie ceremony.
People chimed in on the style, saying she should leave a bit more to the imagination.
A Redditor who goes by Airyeez posted two photos of the dress to the social media platform, seeking guidance.
"Is this appropriate for a black tie wedding in Florida?" she asked.
She added that she already made some tweaks to the wedding guest frock.
"I had the dress tailored since it was a little loose," she pointed out.
Airyeez also said that she'd previously worn the dress to an upscale event, and plans to style it with the same footwear.
"Wore the dress to a show," she captioned a photo of herself in the piece. "I would probably wear the same heels."
The dress drew in a lot of opinions from Redditors, with many saying it may not be appropriate for a wedding.
"The second picture before tailoring looks great," one wrote. "The first picture is inappropriate. You should not show everything God gave you."
"No. It’s embarrassingly tight," another added.
"I’m so confused because second picture looks so much better? You have an incredible body, but this dress is just coming across as desperate.
"It shouldn’t be pulling and puckering like that. You owe yourself more."
"I agree with the comment about this being too tight. It looked great in the second picture. We can see the bottom of your rib cage and your stomach musculature in the first picture," a third commented.
"No one can deny you have an awesome body. But the dress is now too tight and draws attention for the wrong reason in my opinion.
"You want people thinking the dress fits great. Not 'damn, you see her ribs?'"
Many loved the dress with the alterations, with one writing, "Looks amazing, but the real question is, what is your exercise routine?"
Airyeez said that she does "marathon training" to stay in shape.
