Driver crashes into family home leaving gaping hole at SAME spot where another car smashed into wall just months earlier

A DRIVER has crashed into a family home in the exact spot where another car smashed into the wall just months before.

Emergency services were called to Tideswell Road in Eastbourne at 3.30pm on Saturday, following reports of the collision.

The property, located opposite The Beacon shopping centre car park, was still boarded up from the first time it had been struck.

In an almost identical crash to one in August 2024, the black Toyota SUV hurled head-on into the wall.

South East Coast Ambulance services said one passenger was given first aid but no one was taken to hospital.

They left the scene at 5.50pm.

Last summer, residents were left "without a home or belongings" when a similar incident occurred.

Kacper and Pamela told the BBC at the time they were watching TV in their ground floor flat when a car smashed through their wall.

The vehicle had plunged so deep inside the property, only its rear end could be seen from the street.

The couple and driver were taken to hospital but only sustained minor injuries.

According to one concerned resident, the property had even been hit several times before that.

"We don't know if the [building] is going to collapse," she said.

The cops closed the road whilst they tried to remove the vehicle.

Sussex Police and South East Coast Ambulance services have been contacted for comment.

This comes as an electric car smashed into a wall and parked cars after its brakes failed in Wales.

Helen, 47, was left “traumatised” after her MG ZS EV went rogue and wreaked havoc in a gym car park, smashing into two vehicles and leaving the bumper hanging off.
