  • PSV vs Arsenal ones to watch

Guus Til has been one of PSV's star players so far this season.

In 15 Eredivisie appearances so far this season he has scored seven goals and provided three assists.

He is expected to pull the strings in midfield on Tuesday.

Meanwhile, Kai Havertz has been in fine form in recent weeks.

The midfielder has massively grown in confidence and was even named Arsenal's Player of the Month for November.

He is expected to start for the Gunners when they travel to Eindhoven.

  • PSV vs Arsenal team news

Peter Bosz will be forced to face Arsenal without winger Hirving Lozano who will serve a European suspension after picking up a booking against Sevilla.

Noa Lang (discomfort), Amel Bella-Kotchap (shoulder) and Jordan Teze (concussion) are all expected to miss out too.

Elsewhere, Mikel Arteta could heavily rotate as top spot and last-16 qualification is guaranteed.

The quintet of Takehiro Tomiyasu (calf), Emile Smith Rowe (knee), Jurrien Timber (knee), Thomas Partey (thigh) and Fabio Vieira (groin) will continue to nurse their injuries.

Bukayo Saka missed training on Monday due to a foot injury, but he could still feature for the Gunners.

  • Arsenal in Guehi boost

Crystal Palace are putting Valencia centre-back Cristhian Mosquera on their list to replace Marc Guehi.

Mosquera, 19, is already a regular in LaLiga and catching the eye despite his club’s indifferent season.

The strong defender, who is also good on the ball, was checked out by Palace last week as they prepare for Guehi to move on for a huge fee.

The nine-cap Englishman, 23, is likely to leave the Eagles next summer, with Manchester United and Arsenal keen.

  • Adams talks Zinchenko

Arsenal legend Tony Adams issued an honest assessment about Oleksdandr Zinchenko.

Zinchenko is a great positive player for us. In possession of the ball, he can be such a strength. He pops inside. We were laughing off air.

Everyone is playing at left-back, other than Zinchenko.

There is a massive channel that is vacated by him playing inside all the time. But he can be a complete weakness.

  • Barnes praises Rice

Liverpool legend John Barnes hailed Arsenal superstar Declan Rice as a better midfielder than Thomas Partey.

    Barnes told bonuscodebets.co.uk:

Arsenal needed balance. They had good attacking players but they were frail. He’s given them strength in the midfield area.

Yes he gets forward and can contribute with goals but that’s not what he was brought in to do. He’s there to protect the back four and drive the team on.

He’s got good leadership skills and he’s given them a steel in the midfield.

Thomas Partey had it as well but Rice takes it to another level. Rice has been a fantastic signing.

  • Dennis Bergkamp's realistic goals

Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp is realistic in his aspirations as he knows a club in the top flight would be out of reach for him.

We are not talking about the Premier League. That is a very difficult league to enter.

I did go into Arsenal with some other Arsenal legends, together with Daniel Ek, but you can hardly move the owner of such a big club to sell in this day and age with the amounts that apply.

The sale of Manchester United is also still not complete.

  • More on Bergkamp

Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp explained the reasons why he wants to get involved with a League One club.

Wycombe Wanderers was a nice project - and we were very far along with it. It only fell through at the end.

Together with Phillip Cocu, Ronald Koeman, Dirk Kuyt, Henrik Larsson and [agent] Rob Jansen we were going to buy the shares.

It is still a dream of mine to develop players, run an academy, and use all our knowledge and experience to get promoted. Not with a foreign billionaire who puts in a lot of money just to go up quickly.

If you have a group of former top footballers together then you just start lower. I am convinced that with a club in League One, with real football knowledge, you can get promoted to the Championship within five years, 10 years at most.

  • Dennis Bergkamp plans

Arsenal legend Dennis Bergkamp has admitted that he dreams of taking over a football club.

Bergkamp is keen on returning to English football behind the scenes at a club.

The 54-year-old was part of a consortium that tried to purchase Wycombe Wanderers.

However, a deal fell through at the 11th hour as Wycombe was sold to a different bidder.

The ex-striker's consortium included other former football stars such as Phillip Cocu, Ronald Koeman, Dirk Kuyt and Henrik Larsson.

The acquisition of a club is still a "dream" for the Netherlands great and he is aiming for one in League One.

  • More on Arsenal news

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta could do with Emile Smith Rowe getting up to speed sooner rather than later ahead of a hectic couple of weeks in this busy festive period, reports SunSport's Jordan Davies.

After a disappointing 1-0 defeat to Aston Villa on Saturday night, Arteta must navigate a tricky clash with Brighton at home on Sunday before a trip to league leaders Liverpool next weekend.

The Gunners could potentially field a second string starting XI against PSV Eindhoven having already guaranteed top spot – giving several key players some much-needed rest time.

Fringe players Reiss Nelson, Mohamed Elneny, Jakub Kiwior, Leandro Trossard, Eddie Nketiah, Jorginho and Aaron Ramsdale may all be thrown in.

Several Arsenal academy stars could also make the squad with a chance of earning a European debut, including Ethan Nwaneri, 16, and Myles Lewis-Skelly, 17.

  • Arsenal latest team news

Bukayo Saka and Gabriel Martinelli both missed training this morning ahead of Arsenal’s Champions League clash away at PSV Eindhoven, reports SunSport's Jordan Davies.

Martinelli was absent from the Gunners’ final session before they fly to the Netherlands later today due to illness and is unlikely to travel.

Saka was also missing owing to a foot knock, but is expected to make the squad to face the Dutch outfit in Tuesday’s Group B dead rubber.

A further boost for boss Mikel Arteta is that Emile Smith Rowe was spotted training with the main group at London Colney, and could also be in line to face PSV.

Smith Rowe has been out since October with a knee issue in what has been an injury-ravaged period for the midfielder – but there is hope that is fully behind him for now.

He has made just four Premier League appearances this campaign, the only start coming in October at home to Sheffield United – as well as playing 19 minutes of football in Europe.

  • Gilberto Silva Exclusive

Arsenal legend Gilberto Silva is on a crusade to ensure footballers and fans are free from cyber abuse, reports SunSport's Cliff Hayes.

Gilberto revealed how he was too scared to leave his house after becoming the victim of atrocious hatred and vile threats, which included racial abuse.

The legendary midfielder's personal nightmares as a footballer inspired him to launch AI-powered anti-hate social media platform Striver and he has already recruited Manchester United ace Harry Maguire - himself targeted by sick keyboard yobs.

The Brazil great became a victim of sick taunts in his very first season at Arsenal as he and other black stars were racially abused during their 4-0 Champions League triumph atPSV Eindhoven in 2002.

Somebody in the crowd was making monkey noises at us. Thierry Henry was very upset at half-time. I just tried to focus on the game. It’s ridiculous we are still having to tackle racism nowadays

    Gilberto Silva
  • Arsenal fan criticism

Arsenal fans slammed Oleksandr Zinchenko after he failed to stop Aston Villa's winner on Saturday.

Villa beat the Gunners 1-0 to stretch their winning home run to 15 Premier League games.

John McGinn scored the winner just seven minutes into the contest with a brilliant spin and shot inside the box.

But Gooners felt the goal should have been prevented and they blamed Zinchenko for missing three opportunities to stop the attack.

First the left-back allowed Leon Bailey to cut inside before failing to track the winger because he instead tried to pinch the ball off Youri Tielemans, who played the ball back to his team-mate.

Gabriel Magalhaes was left exposed on the left and Bailey took him on before squaring to McGinn to score, with the Ukraine international also too late arriving in the box to cut out that pass.

  • Arsenal transfer boost

Newcastle have switched their attention from Arsenal outcast Aaron Ramsdale to Crystal Palace goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

The Magpies will be without No1 Nick Pope for about four months after he suffered a nasty shoulder injury.

Howe is looking for cover in the January transfer window and his club is linked with Ramsdale as well as Manchester United legend David de Gea.

According to the Daily Star, however, the Toon are now eyeing Johnstone as Pope's replacement.

The England international is seen as a "cost effective short-term cover" as he may cost less than £8million next month.

This comes after Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta insisted Ramsdale is not for sale despite him being dropped in favour of Brentford loanee David Raya.

  • Lineker VAR statement

Gary Lineker admitted he feels "guilty" for backing the introduction of VAR after performing a U-turn on its implementation.

Premier League clubs, such as Liverpool, Arsenal and Wolves, have all been on the wrong end of high-profile errors this season.

Why is it that the defenders can accidentally hand ball it but the forwards can't? Why are we trying to stop goals?

The people who make the laws of the game, why are they doing that, its really bizarre.

I have to say I really don't like VAR very much anymore, I was one of those that advocated it and I actually feel quite guilty, I was definitely wrong, it's spoiling the game.

  • Joao Palhinha blow

Liverpool will join the bidding war for Fulham star and Arsenal transfer target Joao Palhinha.

The Gunners are eyeing up Palhinha with Thomas Partey likely to leave next month..

But the Reds could steal a march on the North Londoners, according to Sky Germany.

The Merseysiders are willing to pay £60million for the 28-year-old in the January transfer window.

  • Ivan Toney transfer advice

Chelsea legend Ruud Gullit advised Arsenal against signing Brentford star Ivan Toney.

    Gullit told GamblingZone:

I think Santiago Gimenez would be a good fit for Arsenal as Feyenoord play similar football.

He’d be used to that and it’d be easier for him to fit in.

    Ruud Gullit
  • Martin Zubimendi transfer boost

Arsenal have been given a transfer boost in their pursuit of Real Sociedad star Martin Zubimendi.

The Gunners had been set to battle Barcelona for Zubimendi's signature in January.

However, Mundo Deportivo now report Barca have pulled out of the race for the midfielder to pursue other targets instead.

The Spain international continues to stand out at the Anoeta this season.

  • Mikel Arteta storming out

Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta walked off BEFORE the end of Aston Villa's 1-0 win at Villa Park.

John McGinn's early hammer strike stopped the Gunners returning top of the Premier League table as third-placed Villa went five points above Manchester City.

And Arteta's reaction left Gooners fearing for their players at full-time.

However, the Spanish tactician later revealed it was yet more controversy over refereeing decisions that he had a "big opinion" on.

  • Watkins could be a good signing

Arsenal legend David Seaman has revealed his side should try and sign Ollie Watkins.

“[Watkins] is a good shout. Yeah, because he’s a box striker. He doesn’t get too involved in the build-up play which I like,” Seaman said on his podcast.

“I sometimes see Jesus too far out, and I’m like: ‘No, get back in the middle!’ It’s something everyone is talking about, getting a new striker would boost the team.”

  • Record crowd

An astonishing 59,042 fans attended Arsenal Women's 4-1 thrashing of Chelsea on Sunday.

And that is a new WSL record, beating the 54,115 who saw the Gunners take on Liverpool at the Emirates.

Arsenal CEO Vinai Venkatesham said: “Breaking our own WSL attendance record is another landmark moment. We’re proud of our women’s team, our fantastic supporters, and our passionate people across our club – all of whom have contributed to this moment. The hard work that got us here will continue as we remain focused on nurturing the connection with our supporters."
