Five people fighting for their lives after horror two-car crash near historic manor in Lincolnshire village
FIVE people are fighting for their lives after a horror smash near a historic Lincolnshire landmark.
The two-car crash, involving a silver BMW and a grey Nissan Qashqai unfolded on Doddington Road, in Lincolnshire, at around 9.20am on Monday.
Emergency services including an air ambulance were called to the scene near the historic Doddington Hall and treated both drivers.
They were raced to hospital and remain in critical condition.
The passenger of the BMW and two passengers in the Qashqai are also in critical condition.
Cops shut down the road until around 8pm last night and have launched an investigation.

It is understood the Nissan had been traveling in the direction of Gainsborough from Doddington.
Meanwhile, the BMW had been travelling from the Broadholme direction.
A Lincolnshire Police spokesperson said: "We are appealing for witnesses, dashcam, and other footage to help our investigation into a serious collision which took place in Doddington Road, close to the Doddington Hall crossroad junction.
"Emergency services including the air ambulance were called to the collision, which involved a silver BMW and a grey Nissan Qashqai, at 9.21am yesterday (Monday, October 28).
"The drivers of both cars were treated at the scene before being taken to hospital and are in a critical condition, as are of the passenger of the BMW, and two passengers who were travelling in the Qashqai.
"The road was closed until just before 8pm while the vehicles were cleared and investigative work carried out.
"At the moment our investigation is focused on finding out what happened – and we need your help.
"The Nissan had been traveling in the direction of Gainsborough from Doddington, and the BMW was travelling from the Broadholme direction when the collision took place.
"We are keen to hear from anyone who saw either vehicle driving along the surrounding roads before the collision took place, and we are particularly keen to view any footage of those cars.
"If you were driving in the area, please check your dashcam. If you live nearby or operate a business, please check your CCTV or ring doorbell footage.
