Piers Morgan has urged Arsenal boss Mikel Arteta to take his chequebook out and sign Ivan Toney from Brentford.
The Englishman, 27, has served his ban and is eligible to play again for Brentford. He has announced that he is free and is expected to feature against Nottingham Forest this weekend.
Toney has also publicly claimed that he would love to play for a big club one day.
Piers seems to see that as Toney ‘begging’ for a move away, and he has now urged Mikel Arteta to ‘stop being so stubborn’ and to go and sign the Brentford striker.
The Sun columnist said: “The January transfer window closes in 14 days but Arsenal still haven’t signed a striker despite proven goalscorers like @ivantoney24 almost begging to go to a big club.
“What are you waiting for @m8arteta? Stop being so stubborn about your ‘process’ & get your chequebook out.”

The French World Cup winner, 30, today posted an Instagram picture of himself enjoying his free time – given to all United players this week – at the unknown snow-covered destination.
It is understood United forbid players to go skiing during the season due to the risk of injury.
While the picture itself only shows the defender standing there, with slopes and skiers in the background, he is sure to be quizzed upon his return to Old Trafford.
Manager Ten Hag will be piste off if he learns the injury prone centre-back was reckless in taking part in any skiing.
The winter activity is banned by the majority of clubs across Europe, fearful of major injuries to stars.

Paul Merson would be “shocked” if old club Arsenal but anyone this month.
The Gunners have been linked with signing a striker, notably Brentford’s Ivan Toney, and a central midfielder, such as Everton’ s Amadou Onana.
But ex-England frontman Merson told Sportskeeda: “If they had plans of dipping into the transfer market, why couldn’t they have done so earlier in the month?
“This is why I don’t think they’ll pursue a deal for Ivan Toney.
“(Boss Mikel) Arteta’s current situation at Arsenal reminds me of the latter part of Arsene Wenger’s stint.
“Everyone knew at the time that Wenger needed a central defender, but he was a bit stubborn and refused to dip into the transfer market.

Arsenal right-back Cedric Soares could leave the Emirates Stadium this month after struggling for any game time under Mikel Arteta.
According to the Daily Mail, Turkish giants Besiktas are interested in signing the 32-year-old.
Arsenal are understood to want a fee for the Portuguese defender, but may struggle with the former Southampton man having just six months left on his deal.
There’s a real possibility that Cedric could join Besiktas on loan before joining as a free agent in the summer.
Al-Ettifaq say the "quick decision" to let Jordan Henderson join Ajax was "amicable" - and right for them as much as for the Liverpool legend.
But president Samer Al Misehal stressed the club "under coach Steven Gerrard demand complete unity and commitment from all players and staff".
Al Misehal said: “Firstly, the club would like to thank Jordan for his efforts and wish him the best for his future endeavours.
"We are always respectful of our players. The club and Jordan believe this quick decision, without any delay or further distraction, has been made for both the overall good of the club and for Jordan.”
Saudi League chief says Henderson exit 'for the best'
Saudi Pro league chiefs claim Jordan Henderson's sudden move from Al-Ettifaq to Ajax is the best outcome for everyone.
SPL vice-chairman and interim CEO Saad Allazeez praised Al-Ettifaq for acting so quickly "to protect their own interests as well as the player".
Allazeez added: "Sometimes despite best efforts people don’t always adjust or settle and that can impact performances and lead to frustrations for all.
"Jordan is a good guy and it’s a shame that things didn’t work out for him, but he’d be the first to admit that full support was given to him and respect shown.
Takehiro Tomiyasu and Ben White are reportedly in "advanced" talks over extending their Arsenal deals.
Japan full-back Tomiyasu, 25, is under contract until 2025 and versatile defender White, 26, is tied down until the following year.
Transfer guru Fabrizio Romano told GIVEMESPORT that extensions could soon be sealed.
Sky Sports' Dharmesh Sheth says "positive steps" have been made in negotiations between Tomiyasu and the Gunners.
And it's also reckoned talks with White are a priority for Arsenal chiefs.

Anthony Martial needs surgery for a hip issue, his agent has revealed.
Phillipe Lamboley told Sky Sports the injury is why the French striker has not always been in Manchester United's first-team squad.
Lamboley also said Martial had "no problem" with manager Erik ten Hag.
The representative said: "He is simply going to undergo a small operation on his adductors, which he should have done for a while and which did not allow him to be 100 per cent, so he will do it now."
Lamboley insisted Martial wants to stay at Old Trafford despite claims United would consider offloading him this month.
