Horror as girl, 11, and woman, 34, are stabbed in London’s Leicester Square as man arrested

A GIRL and a woman have been stabbed in London's Leicester Square today.

Cops said they have arrested a man and did not believe there were "any outstanding suspects".

The Metropolitan Police said the 11-year-old girl and 34-year-old woman were taken to hospital.

Their condition is currently unknown, the force added.

Police officers remain at the pedestrianised square in the West End - one of the busiest tourist districts in the capital.

A post on X read: "Officers are at the scene of a stabbing in Leicester Square.

"A man has been arrested & is in custody. We don't believe there are any outstanding suspects.

"Two victims, an 11-yr-old girl & a 34-yr-old woman, have been taken to hospital & we await an update on their condition."
