TikToker Karissa Wampler (@k.wampler) created a video about her beauty tip.

"Send this to the girls group chat RN," she captioned the video. "It puts people in a TRANCE trust me it'll change your life."

"I have found the thing that makes people look their best. It's this hack, and you got to use the color wheel to do it," Karissa explained.

She said it's "so effective" and that people tell her her eyes are "mesmerizing" when she does her makeup that way.

The hack makes her blue eyes look bluer than usual.

"They're blue, but not that blue. But when I do the color wheel hack, they just go to incredibly intense," she said.

Karissa pulled up the color wheel on the green screen background and found her eyes' shade of blue.

Then she looked for the color that was opposite of the hue of her eyes.

Next, she instructed that you find an eyeshadow that matches the opposite color and add it to the inner and outer corners of your eye.

"It makes your eyes look crazy intense," she said. "Trust me, it works, and you will mesmerize people."

The color wheel theory is used by professional makeup artists like Alex Byrne.

She said that opposite colors are complimentary and create contrast when placed next to each other.

"A real-world example is how holiday colors like red and green make everything look vibrant when placed side by side," Alex told Byrdie.

"Once you learn the placement of colors on the wheel, it's easy to make eye color stand out."

The color wheel theory can be used for more than your eyes.

You can "pop cheekbones, and select a lip color that steps up your look," the makeup artist told the outlet.
