THOUSANDS of Instagram users struggled to access the app during an apparent outage on Tuesday night - but some issues still seem to remain.
Over 18,000 users reported issues with the server connection and mobile app just before 10 pm EST on Tuesday, per Downdetector.
Over 600 users also struggled to access Facebook.
Reports briefly dropped at 10:30 pm EST but quickly spiked to over 12,000 at 11 pm EST, but these issues resurfaced on Wednesday morning.
Hundreds of reports have flooded Downdetector as of 10 am ET on both Meta platforms.
The U.S. Sun has reached out to Meta for comment on the apparent outage but did not immediately hear back.

Those who may be experiencing difficulties with Facebook can check other social media apps, such as X, for reports.
