‘It shall be gone tomorrow,’ my 3-ingredient method cleared ice and snow from my driveway during snowmageddon

A THREE-INGREDIENT method of clearing ice and snow from your driveway is going to save you a lot of back-breaking work.

One woman used it to good effect after experiencing a snowmageddon.

She knows it works and promises "it shall be gone tomorrow" if you find yourself in a similar predicament.

It happened to Zee z (@1zeezee1) at her home between Fort Worth and Dallas in Texas.

Fort Worth is the highest elevation in the state and it can sometimes get seven inches of snow.

When she experienced her snowmageddon, she colorfully described it as "Dallaska."

There was a snow dump and she had to clear her driveway quickly.

She didn't go for the rock salt option.

Some householders say it might clear the snow but it damages the concrete and asphalt.

Shoveling snow is still an option but it's back-breaking and can take time.

But her solution was far quicker and easier too.

“How to clear up any ice/snow from your driveway," she said in her post.

Snow clearing hack

After experiencing a snowmageddon in her Fort Worth home, TikTok user Zee cleared her snow-bound driveway using this easy tip.

Ingredients:

  • 1 teaspoon Dawn Soap
  • 1 tablespoon rubbing alcohol
  • Half a gallon of warm water

What you need:

  • 1 bucket

Method:

  • Mix ingredients
  • Pour solution over the driveway
  • May need to shovel away the excess snow

After mixing the ingredients all you have to do is pour it out over the snow evenly.

"It shall be gone tomorrow," she said.

You’re shoveling snow wrong - my 45-degree method is better, I use it in Wisconsin and then 'shave the corners'

Her tip was confirmed by Warmup.

After pouring over, the snow should bubble up and begin melting, they said.

"You’ll still need to use a shovel to scrape away any leftover snow," they added.

"You also might need to make more of the mixture if you have a larger driveway," they said in conclusion.
