  • United’s Premier League fixtures

Here is Manchester United’s full Premier League schedule for the coming season.

They begin with a home game against Fulham, before travelling to Brighton.

A clash with Liverpool at Old Trafford then comes before tough back-to-back trips to Southampton and Crystal Palace.

  • Man Utd prepare Sander Berge bid

Manchester United are reportedly preparing an opening bid for Burnley midfielder Sander Berge.

According to TEAMtalk, Berge has green-lit a transfer to Old Trafford after being identified as an alternative to PSG's Manuel Ugarte.

Burnley are said to value the 26-year-old at £30m, but United are hoping to convince the Championship club to sell for around £25m.

  • AWB absent from squad

Wan-Bissaka was absent from Manchester United’s squad that travelled to London for the Community Shield against Manchester City.

The defender may have been left out amid rumours of a move to West Ham.

Victor Lindelof and Luke Shaw were also missing when the squad got on their train at Stockport Station.

  • Maguire could replace Silva

Yorke has also suggested that Chelsea could make a shock move to sign Harry Maguire from Manchester United to replace Thiago Silva.

He told Champions League Betting: "Harry Maguire could sit out the last year of his contract and know he’s going to play at some point due to injuries, but United really need to be ruthless and get rid of him.

"They have Lisandro Martinez, Victor Lindelof and maybe Leny Yoro, but Harry Maguire is in the position that he doesn’t have to go anywhere if he doesn’t want to.

"The opportunity had passed to get rid of him because he so desperately wanted to be at Euro 2024 and he would have done anything to play. That was the time to move him so he could get regular football.

"So that opportunity passed and he's still there. I think we need to freshen things up at United and bring new faces in and take the future of the football club forward rather than backwards.

"Having said that, Maguire has shown that he is very capable of playing at the highest level still and elite clubs like Chelsea, who are trying to rebuild, might take a chance on Maguire.

"He can clearly still play at the level and a fresh start might just give him that injection to really perform again for another year or two at that top level. So you never know.

"I played until I was 36 so I'm never going to write someone off if they're still in their early 30s. He's still got the attributes to do that.

"I think players do improve if the team is doing well and winning football matches, football becomes very easy to play. Football is only difficult when things are not going particularly well and then you realise who is really good and who isn’t.

"With Thiago Silva leaving Chelsea, there's a gap there for an experienced player like Maguire to move into."

  • Ten Hag replacement at club

Dwight Yorke has claimed that Ruud van Nistelrooy will be capable of replacing Erik ten Hag if he is sacked during the season.

He told Champions League Betting: "It’s obvious to everyone what Manchester United would do if they sacked Erik ten Hag and that’s to appoint Ruud van Nistelrooy.

"It’s really not an ideal situation, if you are the manager. I know Ruud personally and he’s a great guy, he's got his own ambitions, he's obviously set that out in the past.

'I can only speak for myself, I don't really like it when you're going into a job knowing that if things don't go well enough for your boss then you can step into that position."

  • Yorke would 'swap Hojlund'

Dwight Yorke has claimed that he would swap Rasmus Hojlund for Darwin Nunez and that the Manchester United striker is way behind the Liverpool star.

He told Champions League Betting: "If I could, I’d swap Rasmus Hojlund for Darwin Nunez because he has more in his locker.

"He has pace, he has power, he can head the ball, he has the presence - he just needs to improve his finishing and he’d be the best striker in the league.

"We need to wait and see if he can do that, but as a manager I’d choose Nunez over Hojlund any day of the week."

  • Defender waiting on United

Noussair Mazraoui is still waiting to complete his transfer to Manchester United.

The Moroccan ace has agreed to move to Old Trafford from Bayern Munich.

However, he is still waiting to complete the move as Aaron Wan-Bissaka needs to complete his transfer to West Ham.

“All the [other] players came back, the England players and Rodri will come back next week.

“What we like to give them is what it is, don’t think about the schedule. What’s next, training sessions, it’s just step by step, the next game, try to be smart enough to the training and the right amount of time, so be fresh in the mind.

“So rotate the players as much as possible, and game by game we’ll see what happens.”

  • United 'prepare Berge big'

Manchester United are reportedly preparing their first bid for Sander Berge.

  • Watkins 'should reject United'

Dwight Yorke has insisted that Ollie Watkins should reject any interest from Manchester United in order to stay at Aston Villa.

He told Champions League Betting: "For Ollie Watkins, I would advise him to stay at Aston Villa and carry on doing what he has been doing. If United were still dominating then it would be an easy decision but right now I don’t think he would enjoy his time there as much.

"At Aston Villa in the Champions League, I think he will enjoy himself a lot more. He's the top man there at Villa. That status when you go to Manchester United is taken away from you.

"You’ve got to earn the right there which means starting all over again. United are also not in the Champions League. So it's kind of a no brainer at the moment.

"When I left Villa they weren’t in the Champions League, but Manchester United were. So then it was an easy transition for that. it's on the flip side of things now."
