She continues: 'Do this instead: Group several ornaments on a piece of pipe cleaner.'

She then strings the ornaments together on the pie cleaner to create a cluster.

The woman places the largest decoration in the middle and smaller ones on the outsideand secures the loop by tying the pipe cleaner together and hanging it to a tree branch.

"It looks so much better," she wrote showing off the finished result on her TikTok account @sunshinethedoggo.

The clever hack makes for a fuller looking Christmas tree that caught the attention of other social media users.

While some people loved the decorating tip - others weren't so sure.

One person wrote: "This is brilliant!"

Another commented: "I'm going to try this! Looks beautiful."

"Very nice! That's how I do mine as well. I like a really full tree," penned a third.

Meanwhile a fourth said: "I put up my tree yesterday otherwise I would have done this."

"My tree is full of memories. Ornaments from vacations, or special occasions. It's not about aesthetics,” claimed a fifth.

Someone else added: "No thanks."
