I spent $50 on a Le Creuset mystery box – I had to get lucky for a chance to buy it, the contents were worth $1,000
A HOMEWARE fan has revealed what she found in her mystery box.
The purchase, containing items from Le Creuset, had a total value of around $1,000.
Janelle Judilla (@janelle.judilla), 26, filmed herself unboxing the goods in a viral video on TikTok.
"What I got in my $50 Le Creuset mystery box," read the text.
First, she pulled out a single rectangular casserole dish.
A similar homeware piece sells for $135 from stores like Williams Sonoma.
Another find included a five and a half quart round Dutch oven.
The same kitchenware by Le Creuset sells for about $420 at Boomingdale's.
Finally, she pulled out a blue-toned seven and one-fourth quart Dutch oven.
The cooking piece goes for $460 at stores like Williams Sonoma.
HIGH ROLLER
Judilla's total value of her mystery box hit nearly $1,000 — at $975 before taxes.
"A $1,000 mystery box for $50," she added in the caption.
"Thank you Le Creuset for the best time at San Antonio’s factory to table sale. Please come back to Austin next time."
CROWD PLEASER
The video drew in many viewers who shared their thoughts in the comment section.
"I can just imagine all the workers putting these boxes together giggling and kicking their feet at how excited everyone will be to see the amazing items they put together," one wrote.
"I feel like I’m watching a kid's birthday party opening a gift and the other guests think it’s their birthday, too," another added.
"This is how you know you’ve hit adulthood," said a third. "Excited to watch someone unbox a Le Creuset mystery box."
"Every box I've seen has been this blue, except for one white box, but at least every box has been matching items in a set," yet another said.
"How do you get this?" one more asked.
"It’s the factory to table sale," Judilla said.
"It happens twice a year and we went to the one in San Antonio. Anyone who goes on the VIP day gets a chance to do the $50 mystery box, so we went ahead and did it."
