THE Holiday star Rufus Sewell is engaged to his girlfriend Vivian Benitez – who is 30 years his junior.
The actor, 56, and the 26-year-old announced the news by posting two photographs of her wearing a huge sparkler on her left finger on Instagram, with one of the images also showing Rufus kissing her on the cheek.
She captioned the set of snaps: “Till death (or him continuing to walk on bathmats with his outside shoes) do us part.”
Vivian didn’t share details about the proposal, but she posted a photo of herself from Rome a day before the announcement on Tuesday.
Rufus, who played Jasper in the Christmas film The Holiday, has yet to post anything about the engagement and didn’t comment on his fiancée’s post.
In The Holiday is character is the ex of Iris, played by Kate Winslet, who cheated on her and then swiftly got engaged to another woman.
He later surprises her by showing up at Annabelle’s and tries to win her back – but she’s no longer interested.
The actor has been dating Vivian for at least two years and the pair have largely stayed out of the public eye throughout their relationship – but they have made a few red carpet appearances together, including at the premieres of his movies Old in 2021 and The Diplomat in April.
The actor will be walking down the aisle for the third time when he gets hitched to Vivian, as he was previously married twice.
Rufus first tied the knot with longtime girlfriend Yasmin Abdallah in 1999, but they divorced the following year.
Four years later, he married Amy Gardner – with whom he has 21-year-old son William – before they divorced in 2006.
Rufus also has 10-year-old daughter Lola with his ex-girlfriend Ami Komai.
