The Traitors 2024 LIVE — Claudia Winkleman returns for series 2 of iconic BBC show as cast revealed – see when it starts

  • Who is Claudia Winkleman?

Claudia Winkleman was born in London on January 15, 1972, and is the daughter of former Sunday Express editor Eve Pollard.

She married into royalty and her daughter Maud Windsor was bridesmaid at Princess Eugenie's wedding in 2018.

Claudia's first major TV gig was on regional discussion programme Central Weekend in 1991, but her big break came when she took over from Bruce Forsyth on Strictly in 2014.

She now hosts fan-favourite BBC show The Traitors.

  • Meet the cast: Aubrey

Aubrey, 67, has spent his retirement coming up with cunning plots to win The Traitors series two.

The former shop owner explained: "My game plan is to get on with everyone and to try and befriend everyone.

"If you're not going to be friendly with people, they're not going to like you, are they? But I know there will be obstacles in the way."

Aubrey thinks his impressive beloved moustache could give him an advantage over the competition.

He added: "I don't give things away easily. I've got a moustache and, unless I'm smiling, I think it makes me a look a bit more serious."

  • Meet the cast: Ash

Events coordinator Ash is seeking the thrills of adventure as she joins up with her cast mates on The Traitors.

"I've spent my life moving around, moving cities, moving countries, doing different things," she said.

"But lately I've been in the same place kind of doing the same thing."

Ash thinks she is a good judge of character and that will help her weed out any devious contestants.

"I'm quite good at spotting people I don't trust, it could be about someone's energy," she admitted.

  • Who won The Traitors 2022?

After four weeks of skulduggery, it was Aaron Evans, Hannah Byczkowski and Meryl Williams who triumphed and took a share of the prize pot.

The show, hosted by Claudia Winkleman, took place at Ardross Castle in the Scottish Highlands.

22 contestants started the show and three of them had been selected as traitors in the first episode.

The traitors were tasked to sabotage challenges and remain undetected by the other players - the faithful.

  • Meet the cast: Anthony

45-year-old Anthony will be used to manipulating the competition from his years at the chess board.

Ahead of joining the show, the chess coach said: "It’s like a real-life, live game of chess.

"Instantly, I was intrigued by that, and I just felt it was for
    me."

He admitted: "If I get a tap on the shoulder, then a big smile will appear from ear to ear, definitely.

"I will then need to control my breathing and remember that I need to control things from now on!"

Andrew explained: "I do like to adapt to the situation in front of me ... I have worked in close protection security, so I looked after a lot of VIPs in London.

"This meant I had to be on my toes, be alert, and be able to adapt at the drop of a hat.

He also revealed that he got inspiration from Amanda Lovett, 54, from the first series.

"I like the Welsh ... I liked Amanda's character and she was quite ruthless."
