I live in a van full-time – I use a Dollar Tree buy as a toilet, I’m obsessed with their organizers for saving space
A WOMAN accustomed to living in her van makes the most of her surroundings with budget-friendly buys.
She went to her local Dollar Tree and showed some of her go-to items, including an item she repurposed as a toilet.
Entrepreneur Joanne Plans (@joanneplans) is exploring the United States in her van with her dog.
Although she lives in her vehicle, she regularly makes pitstops at the dollar store to stock up on "essentials for van life."
She brought viewers along to a Dollar Tree in a TikTok video and showed some of the items she uses day-to-day in her mobile home.
Joanne first pulled out a few "awesome glasses" before switching to a bright blue item.
If you need to "take a pee," the individual Plastic Watering Can, $1.25, is her go-to.
She was "obsessed" with small adjustable drawers organizers because "you could adjust all day."
They help her save space while living in such a confined arrangement.
If you're looking to add a "little pizzazz", Joanne gushed about the Self-Adhesive Wall Tiles, $1.25, because they are "just the perfect size for inside your van."
She also said that the Moisture Eliminators, $1.25, are great "to get the moisture out" and prevent mold.
They can be purchased both with and without charcoal.
Last but not least, she added the Plastic Long Reach Pick-Up Tool, $1.25, to the long list.
It's a cleaning essential so you can "leave your campsite better than when you first got there."
Viewers appreciated her budget-friendly and helpful advice for those living on the open road in a mobile home.
"Yes. Last time in the dollar store they had a bunch of new different things, and some things were $5," a viewer commented.
"Great tips," another wrote.
"Thanks! There are so many more items that someone can use in their van life van / RV or whatever they choose to travel in!" Joanne replied.
