Who is Declan Donnelly’s wife Ali Astall and how many children do they have?
ALI ASTALL became Mrs Declan Donnelly in 2015.
Donnelly, best known as one half of the famous TV duo Ant & Dec with his pal Ant McPartlin, has even got a couple of kids with Astall.
Who is Ali Astall?
Ali Astall was born in Australia on December 18, 1978.
She is a talent manager who actually worked as Dec's manager for over a decade before they got together.
Ali works for celebrity agency James Grant Management alongside Ant McPartlin's wife Anne-Marie Corbett.
As well as dealing with Ant & Dec, she works with a number of famous faces, from Fearne Cotton to Holly Willoughby.
How did Ali Astall and Dec Donnelly meet?
The pair started dating in 2014, but Ali and Dec had known each other for a decade because she works for the talent agency that represents him.
Speaking about their romance the Dec told the Daily Express: "We always hung out.
"When she was single and I was single we'd go out for dinner on Valentine's Day together.
"Last year we went out as a couple. It was a little strange because we've had a working relationship for so long."
On November 13 2014, the couple became engaged after dating for a year.
When did Ali and Dec get married?
Dec and Ali tied the knot in 2015 in a very intimate ceremony in Newcastle.
His co-host Ant was best man, and 200 guests watched them take their vows, including celebs such as Tess Daly, and Marvin and Rochelle Humes.
The smitten telly host later shared never-before-seen wedding pictures with his wife to celebrate their two year anniversary in 2017.
He tweeted at the time: "Thank you for all the anniversary wishes. Me and Mrs D appreciate them, can't believe this was two years ago today. Big D x."
Last year the presenting pair announced the upcoming season of Saturday Night Takeaway would be their ‘last one for a little while’.
They have also said part of the reason they decided to step away was to spend more time with their children.
However, they returned to a new season only to reveal that it would be their final one.
In February 2024, the I’m A Celeb host and his wife revealed they were gutting and refurbishing the run-down property next to Dec's £7million mansion, after buying it for a tidy sum of £2.25million.
How many children do they have?
Dec and Ali have two children together.
The couple's first child is Isla Elizabeth Anne Donnelly, who was born in September 2018.
The happy family then welcomed a son, Jack Anthony Alphonsus, in July 2022.
Even though they keep their children's lives private, they have shared some details.
For example, Isla's middle name, Anne, is a special tribute to Dec's mum.
Meanwhile, after the sad passing of Dec's brother Father Dermott Donnelly in 2022, Dec and Ali said that their son Jack Anthony Alphonsus was a "welcome ray of light" and revealed that they'd given him a very touching nickname.
"Shortly before 10am yesterday, 23.7.2022, Ali and I welcomed the arrival of our son, Jack Anthony Alphonsus, a very welcome ray of light.
"He is wonderful and Isla is beyond excited to be a big sister! ," Dec shared on Instagram, while indicating the names were a nod to his best friend Ant, and his late father.
