New Manchester Airport video shows police being punched moments before man was kicked by cop
NEW footage has emerged after shocking video shared online showed a police officer stamping on a man's head at Manchester airport.
The clip appears to reveal what happened in the moments before chaos broke out in the terminal, as a group of men fight with police.
A group of people can be seen milling around a ticket machine in Terminal 2, as three cops including two women and a man head towards them.
One of the officers goes to grab the hands of a man who is facing the ticket machine, to restrain him, in video obtained by the Manchester Evening News.
As he resists the three police try to gain control of the situation, which is when a nearby man gets involved and appears to repeatedly punch one of the officers.
The man in blue then seems to hit a female officer in the face, knocking her to the ground.
Chaos erupts as the three officers struggle to fend off the group.
The original clip, which sparked major uproar and mass protests in Manchester, showed a police officer stamping on the head of the man shown in blue.
A woman in a headscarf knelt next to him on the floor as the cop stood above him, holding a taser.
The man who was kicked in the video now has a cyst on his brain with symptoms "worsening overnight", according his family lawyer.
First shared on Wednesday, it showed the moments following a violent assault on police officers which left one female cop with a broken nose.
This recent footage appears to shed more light on that assault.
At one point the man in a grey t shirt appears to punch one of the officers repeatedly as he slumps back into a chair.
The same woman in a headscarf tries to desperately pull him back by his shirt.
