Season two of Channel 4's long-awaited property series Extraordinary Extensions aired its first episode on Friday, January 12, after nearly three years off the air.

The first instalment of the series followed 35-year-old host Tinie as he reunited with his former music friends John and Heather and their impressive property that cost an eye-watering five million pounds to build.

The music star turned property developer followed the couple - whose mantra is 'why downsize in retirement when you can pimp up the place with a pool and spa?' - as they put their blood, sweat and tears into making their forever home.

Their fancy extension journey impressed fans who took to X(Twitter) and penned down their opinions about the show, with one saying: "I loved it, wasn’t sure initially of swimming pool structure but wow it was fantastic and such a lovely couple.”

Another added: "I like this. Couple are nice, house wlll be awesome and Tinie Tempah is wearing an excellent anorak. #extraordinaryextensions”

A third typed: “This evening’s ep was uber cool..

"Loving them curves.. #ExtraordinaryExtensions.”

A fourth chimed: "He's got me watching Extraordinary Extensions cause Tinie Tempah is presenting."

Other viewers blasted the couple who promoted a green lifestyle, claiming that there was nothing green about the extravagant house.

One user commented: "Oh, the irony! Wearing a Greenpeace t-shirt. F*** sake!"

Another followed: "Please stop saying 'green' for f*** sake! It isn't!"

The property, dubbed Project Radial, saw significant alterations and extensions made to a house in Claverdon, near Stratford-on-Avon, by Fabric Design and Build, architects and building specialists based in Solihull.

Ultimately the hard work and dedication resulted in a property described as an 'incredibly unique' curved eco house.

With bespoke joinery throughout the interior and a new featured staircase, the home’s underground extension also included a swimming pool, gym and sauna, designed to match the existing property’s ‘radial’ layout, complimenting the modern courtyard garden.

The property owner was introduced to Fabric boss James Hughes by a building specialist based in Solihull called Dominic Murphy.

Speaking about the property, Dominic, the managing director of DM & Co. Homes, said: "The owner of this property had a vision for recreating his house based on its current circular dimension.

“And I just knew that Fabric Design & Build had the skilled specialists who were up to the job.

"The result is an incredible family home with beautiful shapes, sleek wooden finishes and what can only be described as one of the most magical residences in the Midlands...

“The project is also a great example of the increasing multi-million-pound projects that we are seeing in the rural areas around Solihull and Warwickshire."

Founder of Fabric Design & Build James, added: "We’re really grateful for the introduction from Dominic at DM & Co. to the owner of what we now all know as Project Radial in Claverdon.

“This was a great meeting of minds, as the owner had a vision that we could turn into reality for him, and we’re very proud that the world will now get to see our work...

“I agree with Dominic that this is just one fabulous example of the kinds of multi-million projects that are becoming popular in this part of the Midlands, and we are pleased to be involved in many of them."

In 2021, the first series of Channel 4’s Extraordinary Extensions followed big and bold property renovations, including an £11million mega-basement in the heart of Kensington, a 17th-century Cotswold cottage, and a former timber yard transformed into an ultra-energy-efficient passive house.

The second series promises to deliver some of the best super ‘million-pound’ extensions across the UK, packed with design dramas, scheduling crises, budgetary surprises and relationship challenges.

Speaking about the new series, Tinie said: “I’m excited to get back on the road to see some of the incredible designs homeowners across Britain have been coming up with.

“I was left amazed, inspired, and, at times, bewildered on the last season, but thoroughly enjoyed the experience and can’t wait to see how far families, couples and developers are willing to go to achieve their extraordinary extension.”

Viewers will get a front-row seat as homeowners attempt to make their sizeable extension a reality.
