DUNELM shoppers are racing to nab garden essentials that have been slashed by 50 per cent and are now scanning for as little as 75p.

One item is the perfect thing for your garden this summer if you'll be spending more time outside enjoying it.

The Black Solar Stake Light is currently on sale at the homeware retailer for only 75p, 50 per cent down on its original £1.50 price.

The lights are solar powered and rechargeable and won't break if they get wet in the rain.

The product is described as being "ideal for outdoor use" and a "sleek and modern design".

The website states: "Illuminate your outdoor pathways with the sleek and modern Black Solar Stake Light. Its attractive appearance is complemented by white LED copper lights, creating a sophisticated ambience.

"With a static function and waterproof design, this solar-operated stake light requires no mains power, making it both stylish and practical for your outdoor decor."

Shoppers should of course look around before they buy to find the best price and also check the reviews.

One fan said: "Dunelm, they have a sale on all departments, anything with 50% off means it is being discontinued, lots of good bargains to be had."

Another posted: "Poor choice of labels used - avoid. The stickers were so hard to come off, it left horrible marks all over the black pools which took away from the overall look. shame as they would have been nice otherwise."

Dunelm also recently had a number of full outdoor furniture sets with discounted prices.

The Churchgate Rattan Dining Set is one of the sets reduced by £250, dropping the price to £1249.

The set boasts six rattan seats, with a matching table for you to entertain over the summer months.

The San Luca Corner Sofa Set also has £150 off and is now priced at £499, it also comes with a matching side table.

Meanwhile, Home Bargain shoppers have also gone wild over a hot air balloon-shaped outdoor light that can hang off the tree.

The discounter, which runs almost 600 stores across the UK, is stocking a hanging hot air balloon solar light for just £4.99.

The nifty device works by absorbing rays from the sun and then beaming light across your garden space as soon as it gets dark.
