Self-described hair bestie Hailey Graham (@haileygrahamm) shares tips for how to reach your optimal hair length.

She detailed in a TikTok video the growth problem that isn't commonly known but affects most people.

"If your hair will not grow, like it's been stuck at the same spot for a year, or if you're experiencing a lot of hair shed or loss, I'm about to tell you something that no one ever talks about and it might be your solution," she said.

She emphasized the importance of proper diet and nutrition, as well as getting your blood tested.

"Did you know that it's more common than not to have a vitamin deficiency? Like 90% of people have a vitamin deficiency," she explained.

Hailey told viewers about specific reasons why this affects hair growth.

She also focused on the benefits of two vitamins.

"Vitamin B12 is crucial for cell division, specifically the cells that impact hair growth," she said.

She also added that it's "responsible for the production of red blood cells, which carry the oxygen and nutrients to your scalp.

"Healthy hair equals healthy scalp," she detailed.

When you're deficient in it, it can lead to a weakened hair follicle, which can lead to hair loss and excessive shedding.

The second one to pay attention to is Vitamin D, which plays a role in the hair cycle itself by regulating follicles.

"So, if you are deficient, it could be a factor in that slow hair growth that is so frustrating," she divulged.

She expressed that you should get checked out at the doctor and figure out what you're lacking in, which can affect other parts of your health.

She has also been very vocal online about her own hair growth journey online and regularly shows what it looked like before.

Many viewers appreciated her advice and offered feedback in the comments.

"I’m deficient in both. That makes a lot of sense. My hair is healthy but grows super slow," a woman wrote.

"I noticed my hair growth when I added more proteins and fats as well as pickles and sour vegetables. I am not sure if this is related or not, but it helped me," another said.

"I’m getting blood work done to check my vitamins next week. I suspect I have several deficiencies," a TikTok user commented.
