I don’t wear bras – people say it’s ‘inappropriate’ but I don’t think we should be grossed out by our own bodies
A BRALESS woman said she's not going back to wearing the undergarment anytime soon.
She said she's trolled for her decision, but maintains that people shouldn't be grossed out by bodies.
Spencer Barbosa (@spencer.barbosa) filmed herself addressing the situation in a video on TikTok.
She wore an oversized T-shirt without a bra underneath.
"Not wearing a bra is so gross and inappropriate," read the text, echoing her haters.
She responded by dancing and touching her own chest to convey that she's not wearing a bra and doesn't care about the opinions of others.
"Why are women taught to be grossed out by their own bodies?" she added.
The video drew in many viewers who shared their thoughts in the comment section.
Several viewers supported Barbosa's decision to join the "no bra club."
"I will never feel bad about not wearing a bra," one wrote.
"This is so true though, thank goodness someone spoke out against it," another added. "By the way, you are so beautiful and kind."
Another gushed that Barbosa inspired them to feel free.
"I'm probably old enough to be your mom or aunt, but I just adore you and look up to you," the fan wrote.
Others disagreed, saying they felt that bras gave them more comfort.
"OK yes I love this but also not wearing a bra can cause really bad chest pain," one said.
"I wear one at all times only because in my opinion they are comfortable and I can’t sleep without one on," one more commented.
