  • Osimhen close to move

Manchester United have received a transfer blow in their bid to sign Napoli star Victor Osimhen.

According to Sky Sports, Osimhen is in advanced negotiations with Al-Hilal.

The same source claims the Saudi Arabian outfit have offered the striker a mammoth three-year contract which could see him earn close to £15million per season.

While Al-Hilal are confident they will get the deal over the line, they still need to receive the necessary funds from the Saudi government to sign the Nigeria international..

Saudi's Ministry of Sports have not yet given the green light to release these funds, without which an agreement would be impossible.

However, Al-Hilal are not worried about this and their president has reportedly even received verbal confirmation of Osimhen's desire to join.

  • Fernandes on his future

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has said that he is keen to stay at Old Trafford.

I have always been honest. I've always said I will be here until the club says to me that it's time to go.

I'm eager to do more, to be able to bring the club the great days.

In the day that the club thinks that I'm too much or it's time to part ways, football is like this, you never know it.

But I've always said it and I keep my word in the same way.

If the club thinks it's time to part ways because they want to do some cashing in or whatever, it's what it is, and football sometimes is like this.

The Portuguese tactician was so angry that he reportedly told him, "You better pray that you can find a club to sign you", in a manner that suggested his United career is over in front of the entire squad.

This comes after it emerged that Garnacho and Amorim's relationship had completely broken down.

According to transfer insider Fabrizio Romano, Real Madrid and Benfica are meeting this week to discuss a transfer fee for former United academy prospect Alvaro Carreras this summer.

It is understood that a release clause of approximately £42m is included in Carreras' contract with the Portuguese giants.

As part of the deal that saw the full-back leave Old Trafford, Man Utd included a "significant sell-on clause" which would be triggered if Benfica sold the Spain Under-21 international.

  • Bruno Fernandes ultimatum

Manchester United captain Bruno Fernandes has been given 72 hours to decide on his future at the club.

Fernandes' future is up in the air following one of Man Utd's worst ever seasons and he is now being told to make his mind up this week.

According to The Mail, the playmaker has been given a "take it or leave it" offer by Al-Hilal.

The Riyadh giants are said to be willing to quadruple the Portugal international's wages, offering him a tax-free pay packed of £700,000-per week.

That contract would total up to a staggering £200million over the course of a three-year deal.

It's thought that the 30-year-old's representatives have been in negotiations with the Saudi Arabian outfit, but the club have now tabled their final offer.

  • Alejandro Garnacho boost

Manchester United have held talks with Brentford star Bryan Mbeumo and could use the money raised from the sale of Alejandro Garnacho to finance a deal.

Garnacho is set to leave Old Trafford this summer having fallen out of favour with manager Ruben Amorim.

Man Utd allegedly want £60million for the winger, but club officials are willing to negotiate if another suitable bid arrives.

Chelsea and Napoli are among the clubs currently understood to be keen, although the Argentina international's reps expect more interest from Premier League rivals and Saudi Pro League clubs.

According to TalkSPORT, the Red Devils have already held talks with Mbeumo who has just one year left on his deal and is currently valued at £50m.

The proposed sale of Garnacho would account for pure profit meaning the funds could go directly towards a potential bid for the Cameroon international, according to Manchester World.

With finances taking a major hit and no Champions League action next season, getting Amorim to patch up his differences with Rashford - who played his last Premier League game for the Red Devils against Nottingham Forest in early December - is believed to be on the agenda.

Indications suggest Aston Villa may not pursue a permanent deal for the Manchester United academy graduate, while Barcelona have yet to make contact with Old Trafford chiefs.

  • Amorim makes Champions League admission

Ruben Amorim has said not playing in the Champions League next season could benefit his team.

He said: "I have to say that for us not to be in the Champions League could be an advantage to perform well, to perform better, to prepare better [for] the games.

"To build that core that we need for the future so I think it's a good thing for us to take advantage not to have European games.

"We had some difficult moments [this season]," Amorim said. "In [those] difficult moments you can see that Bruno is the guy that takes that responsibility.

"It should be, because he's the captain, he has that experience so he's really important for us and really important for what we want to build with this team."
