Ryan O’Neal dead at 82: Farrah Fawcett’s partner passes ‘peacefully’ after previously beating leukemia & prostate cancer
LEGENDARY actor Ryan O'Neal has died at the age of 82.
The Love Story and Peyton Place actor's son, Patrick O'Neal, announced the sad news on Friday.
"So this is the toughest thing I’ve ever had to say but here we go. My dad passed away peacefully today, with his loving team by his side supporting him and loving him as he would us," Patrick posted to Instagram.
Ryan was an Academy Award and Golden Globe nominee.
He is famously known for having an on-and-off relationship with actress Farrah Fawcett that spanned three decades.
Fawcett died of cancer at the 62 in 2009.

He fought a hard battle against cancer for two decades, although the cause of his death has not yet been released.
The couple had a son together, Redmond O'Neal, in 1985. He has three other adult children: Griffin, Tatum, and Redmond.
Ryan was first diagnosed with chronic myelogenous leukemia in 2001.
He was later diagnosed with stage two prostate cancer.
In 2012, the actor told Reuters: "Although I was shocked and stunned by the news, I feel fortunate that it was detected early and according to my extraordinary team of doctors the prognosis is positive for a full recovery.
“I am deeply grateful for the support of my friends and family during this time, and I urge everyone to get regular check-ups, as early detection is the best defense against this horrible disease that has afflicted so many,” he added.
