‘Work smart,’ says driver as he shares ‘life hack’ on how to clear snow from car – you don’t need to use a brush

DRIVERS can ditch the brush when clearing the snow off their cars this winter as one man has found a clever trick to remove snow in just seconds.

While winter snowfalls can bring beautiful scenic views and days off from school for the kids, it can create a chore for many as the snow needs to be removed from cars and driveways to get anywhere around town.

Typically, many homeowners and drivers will rely on large shovels and wide brushes to clear the snow from the property and vehicles.

But one man from Ohio has discovered a “life hack” that makes the chore much easier.

Mitchell Bienvenue (@mitchellbienvenue) recently shared the key hack on TikTok, telling his followers to “work smarter, not harder.”

The photographer, based in Columbus, said he discovered the trick from another TikToker on the platform.

In the video, he can be seen all bundled up as he prepares to clear the snow.

However, instead of a shovel or brush he is holding a common household tool – a leaf blower.

“How Ohioans clean snow off their cars,” text in the video reads.

Bienvenue is quickly seen aiming the leaf blower at his vehicle, easily removing the snow from his windshield, car door windows, and roof in just seconds.

“You can also clear the driveway!” the video said.

“Life hack.”

'Improvising at its finest,' say drivers after watching homeowner clear snow from driveway - he doesn't even need shovel

Many other TikTok users flooded the Bienvenue’s comment section raving about the hack.

“That's just straight up smart,” one person said.

“That’s a great idea!” another wrote.

“I need to try that! I was out here brushing it off this morning. I'm a teacher up on the lake and called off because it was too snowy this morning,” a third person chimed in.

Others said they have also already used the hack, and were pleased with the results.

“Yesssss did my driveway too,” one user said.

“I just did this literally an hour ago!” another added.

It is important to note that this trick may not always work depending on the weather.

Some warn that rain and ice could prevent the snow from blowing off the vehicle, while landscaping experts say a leaf blower should only be used in top-notch conditions.

Total Landscape Care says drivers should only use the leaf blower on light, fluffy snow that is around or less than four inches deep.

They also recommend motorists use a ground fault circuit interrupter (GFCI) plug or cord when using the large device.

Cords that have cuts or exposed wires could create a hazard in the wintery environment.

Additionally, the experts urge people to avoid using a leaf blower to remove snow if temperatures are above 32 degrees Fahrenheit, as the warm temperatures will cause the snow to become wet and heavy.
