Major change at Tesco as famous toy chain set to open in 2,000 Express supermarkets
SHOPPERS will spot a major change at Tesco as a famous toy chain gears up to open in more than 2,000 Express stores.
The Entertainer has announced it will launch a selection of its toy lines in Tesco's smaller branches from this month.
Shoppers will be able to pick up a host of value toys with prices ranging from £1.50 to £7.
The range of toys will include Hot Wheels, TY and Addo brands.
It is not clear when the more than 2,000 The Entertainer concessions will have finished opening in the Tesco Express stores.
Andrew Murphy OBE, group chief executive officer of The Entertainer, said the retailer was "thrilled" to be opening more concessions in Tesco stores.

We have asked Tesco for a list of Express stores where the first The Entertainer concessions will open from this month and will update this story when we have heard back.
It comes after Tesco launched The Entertainer concessions at 850 Tesco supermarkets, creating 1,200 jobs.
The rollout across the Tesco branches was completed in October, with concessions opening in stores across England and Wales.
It is not the first time Tesco has shaken up its store estate by collaborating with major brands.
"Paperchase at Tesco" launched in store and online in November 2023 after the chain collapsed into administration earlier that year.
Tesco bought the rights to the brand and announced that it would be returning just in time for Christmas.
Meanwhile, it's not the first time a brand has launched concessions in UK stores in a bid to drive sales.
Beauty business AVON confirmed at the end of 2023 it would start selling from 100 Superdrug stores.
Plus, Asda shoppers can now buy hundreds of Claire's accessories and jewellery products in store after the two formed a partnership.
Greggs partnered with Sainsbury's to open cafes in its stores in 2023 too.
How to save money at Tesco
EVERY little helps when it comes to saving money at Tesco.
The Sun's Head of Consumer Tara Evans explains how you can save money at the UK's biggest supermarket.
Clubcard points
Tesco first launched it's loyalty scheme back in 1995. You get one point for every £1 you spend in store. If you spend points in store then 100 points is worth £1. You can spend your points via its reward partners and get triple and even sometimes quadruple the value.
Extend Clubcard points
You can find lost Clubvcard points and find the last two years of unused vouchers by logging into the Tesco Clubcard site.
Clubcard prices
If you don't have a Clubcard then you will miss out on its cheaper Clubcard prices. However, don't forget to check prices before you shop because it might not be cheaper than elsewhere, especially on big value items like washing powder and loo roll.
Yellow stickers
Shops do vary the time they reduce groceries with yellow stickers but Tesco tends to be between 7pm and 9pm.
Save money if you shop online
If you get your Tesco food shop delivered then it might be worth buying a delivery saver pass to help cut the cost of delivery fees.
If you live near a Tesco then you can get click and collect slots of as little as 25p, so it might be cheaper than getting your food delivered.
The first site opened in the supermarket's Crystal Peaks store in Sheffield.
OTHER SUPERMARKET CHANGES
Sainsbury's recently closed over 60 of its remaining in-store cafes as part of a major shake-up in its stores.
The cafes closed to shoppers on April 11, as exclusively revealed by The Sun.
The cafe closures came as part of a wider shake up of Sainsbury's' store estate announced in January.
The retailer is also axing all remaining patisserie, bakery, rotisserie and pizza counters in its larger branches.
Last month, Morrisons said it will shut 52 cafes and 17 stores and axe a number of in-store services.
The shake up puts around 365 workers at risk of redundancy.

Rami Baitiéh, chief executive of Morrisons, said the plans would allow the supermarket to invest in other areas of the business.
Sixteen of the 17 branches have shut, with one other in Haxby to close on May 14.
